You're right, if your Smithy is only in your main base, then garrisoning the Engineers to a different base reconnects their boost to the Smithy in the new base.

If you can somehow reach a good Smithy level, you should be able to manage a continuous assault.

The problem is that I'll have to research the high level engineers again before I can upgrade them in the smithy, and my other bases are hours away. Do I lose engineers from repeatedly sending them at their empty base? Markets allow the transfer of resources and items. Just having Market 1 allows that base to receive resources.
Each Market level allows you to send up to 750 of a single resource to a different base.
The Market can also convert a resource to Coins or even another resource. The higher your Achievement score, the more resources needed to convert to 1 Coin. Higher Market levels give you higher percentages of resource-to-resource conversion.
Market 10 allows the buying and vending of items between players.

You wanna know the real secret to this game?

My friends and I used to play Evony together. I didn't care for Evony but well, it's what they played ....

So, here's what you do.

The first and most important step of course is to share account information with each other. Also have each other's telephone/contact information.

Step 2, create multiple accounts. Set up next to each other about 5 or 6 cities. One is your main, the others are for resource grinding. Dump newbie protection on all accounts immediately. Build troops in your main base, farm your cities for resources.

Step 3. Play constantly. Every second you need to be doing something on your main base or your secondary accounts. When you sleep your guild plays for you, when they're asleep you play for them. You'll spend most of your time farming for food to feed your tens of thousands of archers/whatever is the basic unit that gives you the best balance of attack and food consumption.

Step 4. Money. We each paid about $30 into the game for our main accounts. If someone couldn't pay we'd pay for them or they wouldn't be in our guild. Use the money for more build queues. Build fast.

Step 5. Time everything. Since you'll quickly become the biggest motherfucker on the planet you'll be the biggest target. Once you come under attack time everything to the last second. Have your allies move troops into your base within a second of the enemy arriving. That way they can't recall their troops when they realize they're UNBELIEVABLY FUCKED by every fucker in your guild defending your city.

We had people who paid over $1000 on servers we would fuck in the ass until they ragequit. We would become the unconquerable kings of a planet and have to leave for a new one. After doing this a few times we all quit due to boredom.

Then you're using the resources too quickly. by the time I made my level 10 errything, I had a level 8 warehouse and went to sleep. Came back and had about 30k of everything to work with. I'd suggest, then, going through and upgrading the buildings based on what units you plan on using (aka Guardsmen require level 8 Barracks, you'll probably want more than one unit type), while upgrading the Armory and Smithy to decent levels. Don't waste resources erratically, focus on what you use first (as in, don't build armor and weapons for level 1 infantry since it doesn't go to guardsmen). This should take most of another day, along with trying to level up command center to level 5ish (so you can send two warlords out at a time). The next day, you should be, once again, up above 30k resources. At this point, spam what you have in the (I hope) multiple types of units, while continuing to upgrade armor/weapons for the various unit types. When you finish with 40 for each of of your warlords (the two you'll be sending out), conquer some mini castles.

In other words, we don't make more resources, we just spend them in a more wise fashion.

Mini castles can scale up to 4.5k defense (not including Ougi). You don't get to see the opposing force if you lose by too great a margin (not sure what the margin is). You should have 2 warlords attacking one Mini castle at a time anyways.

Yeah all buildings are dropped to lv10 if they were higher, all buildings that require and the Warlords Mansion it self is deleted. The new base is flagged as your main. If you had any warlords in your mansion at the time, they are somewhat sent to purgatory till you get your warlords mansion back up to level (they'll return as more room for them are returned through leveling it up.)
Interesting note: If you research something like medics for example at lv16, and do the base transfer you can still make the medics despite the barracks being level 10. This is due to the fact that the research isn't removed.
