Are any /jp/ projects still active?

I know that one Anonymous is working on his loli sim, is there anything else? Touhou Moon and Vienne seem to be dead.

It was:
https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http%3A%2F%2Ftouhoumoon.net
Website was recently suspended.

Vienne was a collaborate project to make a short VN "magazine" based on stories/art/music from /jp/:
http://jpvn.dyndns.org/

Nocturnes problem was that it's original creator had extremely high standards that alienated those in /jp/ who sent stories in. Once he was out the picture a guy with low standards took over. The problem was that he didn't really take the time to edit the stories properly and never really got the opinion of Nocturnes changed from being considered elitist. So basically people had assumed this elitist magazine was going to put some amazing stories out, but instead the new guy just threw some stories out in hopes of just getting something out there so that his time wouldn't be wasted. The funny thing is that if the original high standards were kept there would probably be no magazine out. When it comes to /jp/ projects you have to have someone actually competent running things and have low standards for everything.

Yeah, this. Basically Nocturnes is the perfect example of how not to do things. Kind of a perfect storm of failure. You had the elitist introduction that made people mad and gave people high expectations. You had a lazy editor who didn't help the amateur writers and threw out a lazily designed magazine. Personally I feel a bit bad for the writers who thought they were going to get some help and the artists who thought they were going to get some exposure. And of course there were the guys in /jp/ who thought they were getting a decent project done. Basically everyone involved lost.

There are /jp/edos across the world working on masterpieces of art, music, literature, and electronic gaming. However they do this all under the veil of silence, refusing to post about their projects on /jp/ out of humility and an intense dedication to their craft that accepts nothing less than a perfect product. When they have achieved this they will anonymously release their magnum opus and without a word slip back into obscurity, desiring neither fame nor money. Then they will once more begin to work, their toils unknown to any but themselves.

I know it wasn't particularly common, but what happened to the translation projects /jp/ used to have? It seems like most of them died, and it set a precedent for future translators to not bother (or at least, to not tell /jp/ about it).

It's a shame. I think imageboards are a great medium for this sort of thing. Futaba Channel (and 2channel) has had some great collaborative projects. So have a couple of the 4chan boards. But /jp/ just seems too uninterested and quick-tempered for anyone to put in the effort.

How about a StepMania simfile pack? I think someone suggested one a few months ago, but it never went anywhere.

We'd just need one or two good simfile makers, and we can leave it to the community to bitch and bicker about what songs to include. Hey guys, project leader from Touhou Moon here.

The project isn't dead, in fact I am currently in the process of getting people back together to start work again, we're gonna start before the end of may.

The only reason the site is down is that I don't have money to put it back up at the moment. I have a backup, and once I get my tax return it'll be back up. I rewrote the design doc to reflect the changes to my idea, and I sent out emails to the original team. I still have my programmers. I also heard back from one of the writers. The artist sent me an email about two months ago, so hopefully they are still interested, but I haven't heard back yet.
