What would be the best Touhou theme to introduce some one with Touhou?

Septet for the Dead Princess, is one of my favorites, and has been ever since I first got into Touhou. You could try that.

Though for the record, JPEG is the shittiest picture format ever. The only thing good about it is low file size.

You're contradicting yourself. JPEG is shitty because it doesn't compress well enough, that means, file sizes are too large.

jpg can compress much better than say png, but it's shit because the more you compress, the bigger artifacts it gets and uglier it looks like.

but it's much better than png for photos or wallpapers, makes them 10x times smaller than a png while still keeping decent quality.

The most viable method of introducing someone with touhou is making them a secondary. Start them with some really fappable shit of a touhou, normals love sex. If they don't like it, keep linking harder and harder stuff. Once they like it, link softer stuff each time until it's completely sfw and kawaii as HELL and they still want more. Then they will actually be interested in the name of the piece of virtual meat and you're in the door. Bonus points if it's a character that majorly features in an ioysis video, link it to them after the last step.

That's a consequence if lossy compression. The usefulness of lossy compression formats is generally acknowledged, even though they all suffer from the same "problem". Being lossy doesn't make jpg shit. There are other reasons why you might want to call JPG (and even PNG) a bad format, but this isn't one. I'm inclined to call you an idiot.

I don't know anything about the Touhou circles. I only listen to canon stuff. But that's mainly because I don't know about any of them. One day I might actually get interested on doujin music and try them. But if I would recommend a song for someone who never listened to Touhou, I would recommend PCB's first stage or second stage song, because I fucking love them.

I can't think which would have the best secondary/normal appeal.

I've only got one other guy into Touhou so far and that was with Hiroari Shoots a Strange Bird ~ Till When and pictures of Youmu.

Don't introduce them to anything from EoSD, or you risk turning them into the worst kind of Touhou fan. Start with something like Last Remote, At the End of Spring, Rigid Paradise, or Extend Ash. There are some good PV's of Last Remote and Extend Ash, none of which contain any cancerous bullshit like PADS, Tsundere Alice, or etc. Start with anything from 10-13, and slowly work your way down. Don't forget to keep it at PCB for a while, and make absolute sure that they understand that Tsundere Alice is fan wank.

Broken Moon, I'd say. I knew that theme from JewTube before I knew Touhou, and it's actually what got me into the games. Great song IMO. My favorite now is Reach For the Moon, though. Mokou is eternal waifu.
