What are "janitors"?

Mods can be (known) tripfags though, and it has happened. They themselves just choose not to because otherwise threads would explode the moment they post.

Likewise, plenty of established tripfags get promoted to janitor or mod. moot even encouraged this in /mlp/. Our own Quality Control and wtH have become janitors.
