Touhou Hisoutensoku is the third fighting game in the Touhou Project and like its predecessors, Immaterial and Missing Power and Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, Touhou Hisoutensoku is a collaboration between ZUN and Twilight Frontier. Due to that collaboration, its art was drawn by Alphes and the music was composed by U2 Akiyama, both from Twilight Frontier.

First is Hisoutensoku, but hisoutensoku is an expansion, not a game itself, therefore you need the second too. Though you can use Hisoutensoku as a standalone game, you will be missing more than half the cast and won't be able to play online.

Port number shouldn't matter so long as you port the same number that you host on. Some people use 7500 instead of 10800, though. Maybe there's some reason behind it that I don't know about.

So that was my first experience with Soku netplay, and I have to ask, is it always that bad? I mean, I can tell you still would have torn me a new ass hole even if we were playing in person, but I had about a half second delay on all my inputs. It seems like you have to know the future to punish any any mistakes, or combo correctly; either that, or just auto pilot all your combos and hope the first attack wasn't blocked.

It depends on who is connecting to whom. My internet isn't the best, but that was still on the heavier side as far as latency goes. Play with more people and you'll get a feel for it. You can also try things like the Soku Lobby or whatever it's called.

I only airtech when I don't think I can get away on the ground. I've never played a Suwako before and I have no idea WTF was happening with that pressure. There is no point where it stops. It's just an endless loop where you throw in projectiles and melees and I have to guess whether a projectile or a melee is going to come out next; guess right and I get away, guess wrong and I eat 2,000 damage plus reset.

Yeah uhh, main thing is as you saw, trying to scout for easy escapes through a simple jump or hj is definitely not gonna work. Against my pressure, i tend to go around wrongblock forcing so you can take advantage of that. Best BE point vs Suwako is probably j.6A or a non-TK j.8A. If i TK it, you'll still probably end up eating 6A or into a string. Once i get my j623 rings, you're probably gonna have to play the guessing game. In neutral, mindless dashing or trying to attack her from above doesnt fend off well because of her j.6B which aims at where-ever you are + slight pushback. I use j.8A very conservingly so i can utilize it as a bait, but if you read me enough, you can tell when it probably will come during a neutral.

In a nutshell, play it safe vs a suwako. Mindless rush-ins without set up will really screw you over because suwako is strong as an anti-rush in. Biggest thing about suwako is, she's good IF she gets the chance. Don't give her a chance, and you can probably roll your way to victory depending on how strong your zone is. Alice can outzone suwako pretty badly anyways.

Don't mash on wakeup, you take too much damage from it, and theorically there is no way for it to do damage unless your opponent is bad

Don't mash in the middle of my strings either, that's asking to die to frametraps, which Tenshi has many.

Stop attacking me during my 4card too, I have superarmor and will hitstun you, effectively giving me free combos. The best thing you can do is bullets that hit multiple times to slow me down.

Don't airtech if you will block right after, there's no point to it, you're better off falling to the ground and recovering spirit.

Don't use your 4card reversal as part of a combo, seeing you have a hard time escaping pressure, it's good to use it to escape my pressure or scaring me from completing combos.

If you will afk at the start, that's okay, though it's rude not to let the opponent know that you're back and hit preemptively.

Connection got laggy at the end, well all the matches were spiky, do you have torrents on? Well thanksfor the games, ggwp Ganondoft. you have a good combo sense, but neutral game is quite lacking.

When playing Alice against Utsuho, you just have to remember that you don't have an 6C. You only have 5C. Alice has a lot of problems with people who can screen clear, I know, but spamming diagonally placed dolls will help you cope. Just don't put too many dolls in one place (read: more than one) and you can work around her sluggish movement

Meiling Youmu match up is iffy. Meiling has faster and more universal normals; however, Youmu has more specialized and damaging normals. Meiling is good at footsies, resets, and mix ups. Youmu is better at oki, pressure, and combo potential. All in all it's more about who can get started first and keep the other person surprised/in check. Meiling also excels at keeping Youmu out, no answers for bullets expect for 22B. So, you should really set the pace of the match from mid range before going in. Keep your head above the water and you should be fine. Don't focus on fixing your mistakes during the match, just find what works.
