Seems we desynced.

GGs, sorry about the lag. Just some tips. You've got your BnB down, but you aren't very aggressive when you were playing as Sacchin. Also, you tend not to use EX moves, which might be useful for some of your combos.

>> No.8804801

It's not just EX moves, I tend not to use any specials, which is something I really need to fix. GGs, though, I have no idea how you managed to be so consistent even with that lag.

>> No.8804818

You get used to it after a while. I've had worse lag, specifically with a friend of mine. The game would completely stop a few times.

Again, your Sacchin was pretty solid, despite the lag and lack of EX moves. With some practice, I'm pretty certain you'll be kicking my ass. Your W. Len could use some work, no offense.

==HOW TO HOST AND PORTFORWARD==

If you don't know your GLOBAL IP or you're getting ???.???.???.??? when trying to host, go to this link to find out your current IP. http://www.whatismyip.com/
If you want to know your ports are open, download this program. http://portforward.com/help/portcheck.htm
For more information go to http://portforward.com/

1: run>cmd>ipconfig
2: find your own ip address (can also find by trying to host) and the default gateway (probably 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1)
3: enter the default gateway into your web browser address bar.
4: you may be promoted for a username & password. This depends on your service provider, google it! (usually its admin & password)
5: look around for an option to port forward (it may be under connection rules/security or something, again depends on yout ISP. if unsure GOOGLE!)
6: change it so the TCP/UDP port 46318 is allowed under inbound rules! (by default all inbound connection are blocked, this is why you can't host)
7: Save and exit
8: Play some MBAACC

Mmm. I'm not sure. I tried to time it so that if you tried to attack in between my strings, you would either probably get hit or I'd be safe. I'm not really sure how Shiki works, but I guess what was really letting me in was that I could airdash in a lot (You probably noticed that Vakiha's and Sakiha's airdashes come out pretty quickly and they travel far).

I think it was more a matter of "I got in at you before you got in at me". I'm not really someone who does this, but you'll probably want to go for "blockstring" before "combostring". With your Satsuki, you went straight for the buttons that go into your combo, which is okay to get the opponent to start blocking as soon as you push the starting buttons, but you want to take advantage of this and start mixing it up so you can get away with something like 2A dash 2A.

I lose a lot to the people I play with, and I don't nearly play enough to improve, but the bottom line is that you'll get a better feel of the game if you play it more. Do what works.

New player here, just how up to date is the mizuumi wiki? For several characters I want to look up there's nothing on their page unless I go to their old page, which seems to be for a ps2 version of MB. Have there been enough significant changes for say, F-Aoko, that the stuff on the old wiki page isn't useful any more, or does it still work as a guide? Saying it comes down to preference is true, but there are advantages and disadvantages to be understood.

Keyboard - Do not use arrows or WASD, emulate a hitbox layout and you're set. This will take a bit to get used to, but is imperative. A lot also depends on the quality of the keyboard. Not as bad as it is funny, but does not transfer to many games.

Pad - Familiar to most people, easy to pick up. Thumb makes for easy d-pad movement but requires a bit of dancing for 4 or 6 button layouts. Big thumbs may have trouble with precise d-pad inputs. Using your fingers on buttons (claw grip) can help with the multitasking thumb problem, but is also complicated sometimes e.g. 4 face button pads for 6 button games.

Stick - Unfamiliar to most beginners and has a learning curve, but is tried and true. Will set you up for success if you ever visit an actual arcade.

I think you could mix up your blockstrings a little. You were using his 214s well for pressure, but you didn't really use many overheads, throws, crossups, instant air dashes and what not. Basically, you could do with being more aggressive as Wally.

Also, if you should try and end your aircombos with 236A if you're planning to summon Nero directly afterwards. I think I recall you dropping the air combo ender and going straight into Nero, which gave me enough time to reposition.

I was pretty taking advantage of your eagerness to poke out with 2B and/or 2A when I was pressuring you.

Your neutral game has a noticeable pattern as well with how you throw out your icicles.

Learn your blockstrings, I don't think I want to be in neutral too much with F-WLen. You know she has ice vines and such, use them when I'm down.

Learn her better combo, 2.6k average doesn't really encourage me to respect any of your pressure. 2B loop is great.

You've got poor meter management. Don't drain your entire stock with your EX Ice Lance, ice flower is a good reversal to keep that for.

You still gotta train up your blocking, high low and what not. Probably why your so restless under pressure.

>> No.8812964

>>8812929
hm, i don't have many tips to give. dunno much about kouma but you could probably do well with using your meter more often (for HEAT or EX moves, whatever). on a similar note, i noticed a few times when i started combo-ing you while you were in MAX, but you either didn't burst or decided to burst late.

also, more blocking. this applies to me more than it does to you, but you seemed to get hit by a lot of rising (and falling) jump normals and meaties, presumably because you were trying to wakeup 22C.

Thanks for the advice.

Well with Kouma, I tend to forget to use meter because he doesn't seem to REALLY need it outside of a 22C or EX Dunk, and I completely forgot about using the latter move during our matches. As for bursting, half the time I don't figure it's worth it and the other half I'm already tapping the E button for several seconds before it finally goes through.

And to be honest, I simply have no idea how to deal with aerial attacks as C-Kouma. He doesn't have the amazing 2B of the other Koumas so I have to rely on j.Bs or 623s/j.236s. But your j.C seems able to get through my j.Bs and it even cleanly beat one of my 623Bs, so it's a bit disheartening. I think my other problem is that I cannot into aerial combat at all.
