Why do people say Zun is a bad artist? His art isn't as awful as people make it out to be.

It's not amazing, but it's not like it's crappy MS Paint sketches either.

I don't care about his past games, but I guess the problem here is the lack of improvement throughout his career.
And I personally prefer the art in IN, and it's been quite some time since then.

Touhou wouldn't be the same if ZUN didn't make it the way he did.
Besides, the 'professional' style has been done a million times over, and become unoriginal. But ZUN's drawings are original, which is part of the reason why he refused to do it that way (and partly because he said he can't draw straight lines). Besides, don't you find such things adorable?

Well, at least I do, ZUN. And I love the music, too!

It's bad, case closed. The doujin art is better.

Music, on the other hand, is entirely debatable, but I say that both the original and doujin albums are great in their own ways.
