Personally, I think PSO was much more enjoyable on Dreamcast.
If you get a broadband adapter and a gameshark then you can play the dreamcast version on schthack's server.
Good luck with the adapter though. They're rare as hell and usually custom made.

Not really. You had to deal with people duping stuff offline, and hacking was easier to pull off. Also, you would drop your currently equipped weapon and all the meseta you were carrying with you when you die, so thievery was yet another hassle to deal with. But yeah, the userbase/economy's much better in BB, not to mention it has extra content like more episodes, items, etc.

I think it's just an HD redux. Not a remake. Also it's pretty common for licensed songs and images to be cut from re-releases. I doubt SEGA has the rights to that entire soundtrack anymore after 13 years.

Shenmue 1 and 2 HD are completed but it isn't announced when it will be released.

We have the Yakuza titles to play till then anyway. I know they are very different but similar in a couple of ways. And they are awesome as shit.

2 is still my favorite, but 3 made my irl cry. I can't go back to the first now due to the voice overs being in English. They are good VOs but still. I even bought Kenzan when it came out and have no idea what to do!

I still loved 3. 4 is awesome too, although it is different. I actually got 3 for free when I bought 4. Waiting on Dead Souls in the post and I wish Kenzan came out here.

I'm glad /jp/ also likes the series and I hope it will be safe. Last I heard the series had sold 5 million copies which is pretty good really. It's a shame they are generally overlooked. They are a lot of fun and have a stupid amount of content.

If you have the possibility then I suggest at least trying out a DSi XXL. Portability may become harder but a nice big screen and something that actually fits well in my giant hands is a godsend. The buttons are better then on the DS lite too.
