Just gotta do it. It becomes easier with time and practice, like with most things, but those first few times are going to be extremely difficult. Best advice is to put yourself into situations where you have to communicate, and just learn to talk without worrying yourself sick over it.

I also came to the conclusion that in the end, people can be pretty selfish, but for the most part are usually going through the same shit that I am.

Deep down, a lot of people are lost, lonely, and anxious. Once you learn to sympathize with that, talking to them becomes easier.
