I really loved the direction in Touka Gettan/Yamibou.

The actual shows were nonsensical, but their composition was awesome. Like the way they presented the events and the story. Also the camera angles/screen composition.

I'm not sure if I'm using the proper terms. But Yamibou has old as balls digital art, but it still looks better than most HD anime out today.
