Seriously? For me the main value of Rance series lies in its core cast of characters and the world with all lore that it developed within those 20+ years. There are probably 2-3 games left before the series will end and it was very nice to play a Rance game that makes so many characters from the older games to return. And after seeing what Suikoden series was turned into after Konami decided to "aim to widen their target audience and attract newcomers to the series" I definitely don't want to see the same fate for Rance series.

Extends or more precisely makes it complete. Both AL church and black bracelets storylines were started in Rance Quest but were just left out unfinished. Alicesoft initially did halfassed job by releasing unfinished game and made it complete only with Magnum.

It is said, that there will be 10 games in total. So what remains is Helman in the next game (damn, I can't wait to see Patton, Freak and especially Hanty again. Hope there will by some backstory to her, it's quite clear she's not just normal Kallar) and finally the great finale in Demon Realm.

As for Rance 8, I was so happy when Ferris returned (was worried about her when I saw that scene in Rance 6). Also cannot unsee Rance's parenting ability, level: godly (in both cases, Risette's as well as Dark Rance's. Have to admit though, the latter was slightely better).

And as for Sill, bitches will pay for my explosion of delight which was frozen just like her in the next moment.

Simply said, it would kill this perfect universum, if they started to "appeal to newcomers". Fuck them, fuck them hard.

Loved reunion with Ferris too, it was my most favorite scene in the game. Satella in dere mode probably comes second.

I can't wait for Hellman game as well. Entire Hellman crew from Rance 4 and Patton in Rance 6 were great so I'm looking forward for seeing more of them. Hunty and Freak are certainly aren't ordinary persons in Rance universe. Almost sure that they will be playing major roles not only in Hellman arc but in following war against demons and then gods too.
