Fuck off, stop talking about editing saves. My autism kicks in and ruins my immersion when you do this. I haven't cheated at this game but I probably would if I could be bothered. I am terrible at computer games, which is why I usually read visual novels. RPGs are the worst. I don't care about fighting monsters, I want more cut scenes. I suppose this is why VNs suit me so perfectly.

This game is very fun though. Something that bugs me a little is that monsters seem to power up as you do. Which is a shame because my plan was to just fight in the same areas over and over so I could kill everything easily. But that has sort of backfired because I make the worst decisions and now fighting stronger monsters is actually more difficult. Oh well, at least I got materials out of it.

Yes. Pretty much every non-main character sucks after level 50, given that you level a few pieces of clothes. In particular, Sharty is the only character with whom I did not manage to beat the arena gauntlet challenge. Besides, all her good gloves require horrendous amounts of weapon skill.

I find that most later maps have tons (literally hundreds) of enemies, so plowing through with only a few characters will be pretty hard. Consider that the game scales enemies with your levels, so if you bring a few high-leveled characters, your lower-level characters will be all but useless on that map.

From my experience, Yuela is actually falling behind Wil and the NG+ characters. She just doesn't have enough useful skills or enough durability to stand up to some of the fuckers you encounter in the later dungeons.

Consider leveling her dress that gives Prevail. Prevail is the most broken skill in the game. Also consider that Yuela gains Evasive 3 in 5 levels. If that is still not enough, equip Sword Flash. Still want more? Build Yuela's second NG+ armor and learn Undress. There isn't a single more broken thing than a character with Undress and Prevail.

Oh, she also gains Double Action from that Gothic Dress.

I had trouble with that one too.
Equip Emelita with that "Water missile" spell or whatever it's called, with that you can attack the enemies from a further distance.
Give both of your characters protective skills, and try to stay in the electrified areas as much as possible.
Let Wil and Emelita always stay close to each other so they have a higher chance to avoid attacks.
You will also need a lot of potions.

Prevail and undress isn't enough to keep her alive. If that's all she has, enemies with prevail or pierce can still kill her. Dodge isn't reliable end game.

She's the strongest character in the game if you build her right. Well, if you don't count lily with prevail. If you want to make her strong, give her prevail and soul shield. You can also throw in counter attack and a strong attack skill but only if it's like +20 str. Stack her on +skill chance gems. Even in the lvl 90 dungeons, she will probably kill everything that engages her in melee in a turn or two. Make sure she has the 1.5 or 2x stat gain item when she levels too. It's well worth using on lily and yuela.

Will has double move, not swift. The fox isn't bad, but not as good as will. Will can also move over any terrain, and move farther than the fox if you give him +move gems. I know those are probably rare though. The fact that will gets double move and fox doesn't is enough reason to use will over fox. Also save up magic and floating stones. They're very useful for teleporting and clearing portals.

The main problem with Yuela is that her base atk is low and swords have low atk on top of it, causing her to get quickly outpaced in NG+. Then add on top of that hit skyrocketing to the point that even with max evade, alert 5, undress, evasion, and prevail you are looking at getting hit 50%+ of the time in 2.0 dungeons. Note that at this rate, Sword Flash 3 (30%) while stacking activation stones is actually better defense than all of those skills stacked together.
It's much easier just to use prevail, soul shield, and projectile def on occasion if you need it.

Serawi falls in the same boat but worse - her attacking stats are abysmal even if you save scum.
Emelita gets good base int (100+ with cameo costume) and a very good selection of nukes.
The early game characters all get boned hard by stat caps (Crayon beats Crayl in every stat for example) and almost every character has a terrible balance of skills. Ideally the way to fix this is to go through and make sure everyone has at least Ferocity or Flurry while adding attack type skills to people who are lacking.

Prevail 3 adds a stat bonus at 75% hp and increases again at about half. Undress is the one you are thinking about that requires you to be totally reliant on dodging.

Most of my levels came from the lvl 90 dungeons. You gain levels like crazy there, but probably only a few of your characters can survive there. Most likely only lily or the other lvl 1 no stat cap characters, yuela with prevail+soul shield and emi. Don't start off with the sand place or valk even though those places give some awesome stuff.

I once had Yuela Training Bracelet monsters in one of the starter NG+ dungeons enemies down to 1HP to kill off with Lily, but this only yields 70% to 80% of the XP needed to advance one level per monster. I'm casually enjoying this game, the grind for items can be a tad repetitive but I don't find it tiring, as it feels equally rewarding for some reason. Spent around 30+ hours on this game and yet I'm just at the beginning of chapter 4.

Get will to Magnus rank. To do that, you need to recruit Mylen, philly, and asodeuous or whatever her name is called. After that you need will to have 500 kills. The easiest place to get kills is probably that troll place that crayanne was taken/captured.

As for your second question, do the level 50 dungeons. If you're done with that, you can clear the lvl 90 dungeons with yuela, emi or lily. Give yuela and emi soul shield and prevail. Lily can tank it if you have been lvling her with a 1.5x or 2x growth item. You can probably equip them both at the same time to get even higher rates, but I personally never checked. It works with full mils and ful tears for sure.

There's little need for an in-depth guide for unlocking them. Just keep playing and character specific events will occur where they ask you to do something. The quests aren't too hard anyway and once you do it you get an h-scene. Doesn't happen for a good while though.

If you're talking about the three heroines though you can only get the h-scenes of one character per playthrough. Essentially around chapters 2 and 3 you'll be given an option to help out either Servawi or Yuela, saying yes to Yuela puts you on her route no matter what, saying yes to Servawi puts you on her route unless you said yes to Yuela, and if you said no to both you're stuck with Emelita. Oh, and there are other requirements as well but as long as you do every event in each chapter you won't have to worry about that.

At least 3 people can tank the lvl 90 dungeons. Lily if you've leveled her up with +stat growth items and yuela/emi with prevail and soul shield. Get mylen hurt and have her snipe from long range. You should have will at magnus rank. To get there, recruit mylen, philly and asomedues and have 500 kills with will.

also are the meidos really not good? eukleia was the first character to break 100 str for me.

The first time I fought her, I had Ms. Eukleia use her Rail Fan. She hit 100+ damage on her, so she's probably one of the best choices to kill Asmodeus with.
I did it when Wil was aroudn level 70. Ms. Eukleia was level 66.
You can also get devil beads in the final deadbeat dungeon.

Holy dicks /jp/ help me out here.

This level is fucking me over hard. What am I supposed to do? And how do I get my lower leveled characters to higher levels? They seem to get shit exp from enemies around their level and higher leveled enemies beat the crap out of them.

It's actualy very easy once you know what to do.
Equip your characters with dark weapons like the Dark Partisan for Melodiana or the Devil Fangs for Uya and steamroll the map by sealing the ennemy flags the quickest way possible to not get overwhelmed.

You clear the map and unlock them in the Workshop. And for the order, depends on what you're ready for. Phema Mountains or Sluicegate or both easy. The only troubles from the mirage forest, I think it was, is that it drains HP/SP/FS or whatever from all characters who don't null/absorb earth at the start of every time, so stock up on healing.

The monsters in deadbeat dungeon give huge amounts of xp compared to other monsters their level.
In the final dungeon, you can get devil beads which are super rare and you can only get about 2 throughout an entire playthrough.
Also if you clear the last dungeon, the deadbeat title gets removed
