I still laugh at how 4chan doesn't understand what GET means.

If only I knew moon so I wouldn't have to spend time on a board that imports foreign concepts and then DOES IT WRONG all the time.

Using GET as a way to "demonstrate" repeating numbers in a post number is just completely wrong and a retarded misuse of what imageboards were originally intended for. Fuck, iichan and 4-ch do it right. It's just 4chan and 4chan's lame knockoffs that fail at this GET nonsense.

The true meaning of GET means that, back when boards were much slower, that YOUR THREAD got automatically stickied. It's ironic, because you think that you're making a successful post while you're just, in fact, insulting yourself. Yes, GET can be used when posting a shitposting comment in a board that you aren't familiar with, but posting with just the word GET accomplishes nothing but contribute to spamming the board. The trend of replying with the name of a tripfag and GET is even worse, as it accomplishes nothing and only serves to increase the e-penis of whoever you're "getting".

The GET board culture was never meant to serve as an implied success! Why people started using it that way is beyond me. There are plenty of reasons why one would choose not to bump a thread with his reply. For example, bumping threads with stupid repeating numbers should be discouraged and those people should be coerced into using GET instead.

I want to use GET, yet I almost never do it on 4chan because people will jump on me thinking I'm trying too hard to get repeating numbers or something.

ummmmmmm, defs and purposes of functions change depending on user base, and it's not hard to get repeating digits, if you're on and notice that 5 or more are coming up press F5 on the front page of a board in 1 tab and have your post ready inn another (it is a little bit more difficult on /jp/ due to saging, someone might post and not let it be on front page, but it's usually on the front, then click post when -1 or -2 to allow for error before your # is up, I've beaten KoG at it a couple times, but the guy never lets people post in his fuck ups cause he wants to seem magical and always instant deletes his own threads
it takes like 30s, and you can press f5 while playing a portable or reading a book or watching anime or playing a game on your other monitor

long story short: that was all one run-on sentence and it isn't that much effort to get repeating digits

FoOlfuuka was originally very, very broken. It was slow and a lot of things didn't work. Woxxy kept introducing bad ideas then revoking them so his former fans would rejoice (I call this the "New Coke effect"). Even now I often get PHP errors visiting his site. Very simple things are broken, e.g. go to the main page and type "8694727 " in the "View Post" box. It won't work, and this matters because 4chan adds a space after post numbers (so they often appear in your clipboard). Conversely, Fuuka just trims non-numerical characters because regular expressions are a big part of Perl. Every 12-year-old IT student has "verification and validation" hammered into their brain, but Woxxy is the kind of person who eschews these in favor of adding more features.
Plus the whole /foolz/ thing is outright obnoxious. If you want an image board, make an image board. Don't try to shove it in your archive and leech off 4chan's userbase. Just get Wakaba on your site. There is no need to reinvent the wheel like you did with your Gallery (an alternative to neet.tv's Catalog). Woxxy is trying to do too much, whereas Anonymous Warosu Admin just runs an archive that...archives posts.

All the images worth having can be found on iqdb or with Google Search by Image. The only exception are /jp/-created images. and "/jp/-created images" are, 99% of the time, "lol PLEASE RESPOND" shitposting macros...
