Hmm, well I honestly don't keep track of a whole lot of artists as I prefer sets to individual songs. But I can recommend a few DJs I listen regularly; Myon & Shane 54 (my favorite of the bunch), Jaytech and Armin Van Buuren (hipsters hate him so much). There's more podcast/radio shows out there though if these guys aren't to your tastes.

Right now, I'm listening to Anjunadeep 03 (mixed by James Grant). It's lovely.

I listen to a lot of Japanese post-punk and new wave, Jun Togawa is my favourite artist.

New wave is great, but I haven't listened to much post-punk. Anything you'd recommend, Japanese or otherwise? I'll make sure to listen to any albums or bands you recommend.

>> No.8681087

Breakcore, Glitch, Post-Rock, Noise, Industrial, some old school Goth from the 80s, Anime music, Denpa, J-Pop, etc etc

/jp/ music threads are really hit or miss. I'd have to say this one is definately one of the misses.

INU - Meshi Kuuna!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7AKTcfs788

Jagatara - Nanban Torai (Funky post-punk)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohOI0uemMcE

E.D.P.S - December 14th 1983-May 27th 1984
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1l1nfwVr4m0&feature=related

Bachikaburi - Ongaku Geisha (This one's a little odd to be honest, you'll probably either love it or hate it, it's also more funk rock with post-punk elements than actual post-punk)
The only youtube links I can find from this album are the early stuff which sounds nothing like this album

Mizutama Shobodan - Maid's Prayer Sounds Like DA-DA-DA!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auBtAJ-kkZU

Those are my personal 5 favourite albums. You can listen to those if you want. All of the artists I listed have members who've also been in other good bands/solo-projects/whatever.

Black metal mostly. Not exactly the most popular or even accepted genre around, but I like it a lot.

Pretty much anything as long as the combination of frequencies are pleasurable to listen to and such.

But I think my most favorite is game music due to the sheer variety present (the artists for those don't really stick to one genre of music). Plus sometimes their modern music sound straight out of the past which is kinda cool:

I like Wu Tang Clan's first album and De La Soul Is Dead, but other than that I'm pretty much a total newbie when it comes to music for downtrodden black youth.

Actually much better than i expected. I just clicked to get few laughs, but for black metal this isn't half bad at all. Now if the singing didn't sound like depressed goat.
