Well, you see, it was late at night and I was chatting with some people online. This was during summer break, but it was a Thursday, and school was resuming the following Monday, so my family decided I should start going to bed at a more reasonable hour.

At first, they simply unplugged one of the lines leading to the DSL modem, but I identified and rectified the problem rather quickly. They immediately moved on to something more direct, cutting the line with a pair of scissors. I was quite angry, but they went to bed...

They were expecting I would do the same, of course, but I didn't. Instead, I rewired the entire setup so the cords remaining were enough to connect, then resumed my online activities. They came back to check to make sure I had gone to bed a few minutes later, then made to cut the new cord, saying they wouldn't do so if I would go to bed that instant.

I went into the kitchen, grabbed the nearest knife, and then returned and tried to stab them in the torso, but they managed to grab my arm. While we were struggling, someone else made for the phone, so I was basically forced to give up.
