How do you deal with moving from houses you like, /jp/? I can't say I have the best memories or experiences with it.

>> No.8662994

My house burned down and I did not even care, so I'm afraid I can't help you with this one.

>> No.8662991

I've never moved. I've been forever in this room quickly filling with grime, dust and mold.

The only actual move that I remember was from a neighborhood about a mile away into this neighborhood. I like this one much better. My elementary school is in this neighborhood. There's a church here (which only means I see my neighbors daughters in Sunday clothes every now and then). There are citrus trees everywhere too(and at this time of year they smell absolutely great). This house has a gigantic bath tub too. This house has a pool and a jacuzzi, too. It even has grass and lots of greenery in the backyard. My window faces north too, so I don't get any direct sunlight.

Overall, I think this house is much better than the last one.

I move out a lot, I barely have any emotional bonds to my home. In fact, I recently moved out from the house I was living for 3 years, and I didn't care a bit.

I usually try to make it unpleasurable to live there. Burn the bridges.

Parent in the miltary so I've moved so many times, from arkansas to germany to louisiana to germany again to louisiana again to texas to korea to louisiana again to japan to louisiana once more to texas all in 20 years

You get use to it, I've never got emotionally attached to a house because that sounds really homo. I don't think it would be so much the house more than the people you're leaving behind.

also cheeeck em

But if you got a house on a nice place? That's no homo at all. Just reasonable. You fascist prick.

Do tell us why you didn't stay there.

>> No.8663094

Your house is a piece of wood. Any sentimentality you have towards the location is misguided. Your fond memories are of you experiencing the world, not your house.

I went through roughly the same thing as this guy. Plus jumping between parent's houses after their split.

I have no attachment to any place anymore, it's kind of nice. I do get rather complacent if I don't change where I live often, though.

I live in a nice house right now, in the rich people white people part of my town. You have to understand the longest I've stayed in a place was like 3 years. Such is the life of a miltary brat.
>>8663090
Typical time you live someone in the military is 2-4 years. I was at camp zama (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camp_Zama)), though we lived off base because we bought a PCSing rich soldiers house for cheap as fuck (liek 70k, for a house 10+ times as much). Japan ain't all that great, toll roads suck ass.

I never moved.

I wish I could.

I hate this house.

I hate this room.

I tore down wallpaper on two walls and took apart some furniture just to make it look different so I don't go insane.

Well, more insane.

I've never lived anywhere for more than a year since my parents got divorced when I was 6. It's just been a chain of evictions until I moved away and I've gotten so used to it that I never renewed a lease past a year out of habit.

I just got done moving a week ago. Took me less than a day to pack, move my shit, and unpack my entire apartment. I should probably cave in and get a boyfriend so I don't have to pay this ridiculous rent anymore. It costs me about half my income.

I remember when I was a "normal" kid and moved once, I got really sad knowing I wouldn't be near all my friends. Now that I'm a friendless loser out of shool it doesn't even matter.

I live with my sister and her boyfriend for this very reason, it's literally the only connection I have to not wasting money living alone.
