And how exactly would you define a philosopher? Can't a philosopher just be anyone that embodies an idea in a work? The concept of the Dao is basically monotheism without the crutch of a humanoid diety. I'd say that's superior. Confucianism did the concept of codified rules to support general social order better than anything you mentioned as well.
