I've met 3 people like that in the convention before. All 3 desperately tried to buy Flandre, Sakuya posters and boasted about how love they love Remilia's theme, Bad Apple.

I like SDM, but not particularly those 3. Actually I fancy Meiling and Patchouli a bit more.
Speaking of popularity, I think Eientei is pretty much the same as SDM. Not to mention the overwhelming boobs of Byakuren's.

Yes, she is a very fun character to use, and she has some really high damaging combos sometimes, but at a higher level of play, Sakuya and Remilia are much better. Patchouli is a bit lower level than Sakuya and Remi, but at low levels of play, her danmaku, specifically 5C, will rip apart bad players who can't graze.

High level Meiling players are pretty damn entertaining to watch though, I saw one match with Hong vs Remilia if I remember correctly, and it lasted about 10 minutes. Poor Meiling has to play it safe to not get whacked into the ground.
