there was a question on forumspring that asked to write a short story, mine turned out lewd as HELL so i never posted it but here it is. it's called "Sanae a shit"

Sanae was hanging out with Kanako and she suddenly farted. Kanako was grossed out and Sanae found it funny. Sanae went around farting around others and laughing as they were grossed out. She went to Rinnosuke's shop to troll and he kept losing a lot of customers. He was growing pissed and kicked Sanae's crotch and she fell down to her knees. He pulled down her skirt and started fucking her anus while shouting "HELL YEAH" with a crazy look on his face kind of like Accelerator from Toaru Majutsu no Index as she was crying for forgiveness.

This is a bit of cross-content, but it still goes here.

I don't know if you pay attention to them, but one of the anons in the MMD/3DCG threads made a model that I find particularly attractive, for obvious reasons( I'm just a sucker for long black twintails).

You can view her here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yIbUs03Nrs

I don't want to muck up their threads, so if that anon sees this, thank you for letting me draw her.

I really love the Cycles Render.
However, when leaving it on for long enough (This was 500 samples, took almost 10 minutes on a two-way GTX 570 SLI with CUDA enabled) white pixels start randomly appearing. Some of them disappear again, but they really annoy me.
How do I minimize the amount of them without killing my PC?

I'm having difficulty coming up with words besides thank you. I almost tried responding in Japanese, as if that's more emphatic, but I can't do that here. I'll have to figure out a way to repay you someday. I know people here can be sensitive about your art so I won't gush anymore than this. The pose is great and something I would have imagined.

This makes me really want to do something more. Damn it. I need to make the model into something people will actually want to use... I wish my health hadn't dropped back in November.

I doubt there is, but if there's ever anything you'd like to see MMD wise, feel free to ask. Can't guarantee anything, though.

It might have been so, but however you want to express it, I'm glad to do this. Don't worry about repaying me, just keep making content of her. I don't want to steal her away from you or anything like that, but I do hope you wouldn't mind if I doodled her from time to time. I actually have to apologize for drawing this one without your consent, the 'older is flat/younger is busty' roles with my own characters juxtaposed so well that it happened on impulse. Anyway, in the end I hope there's a cycle of content being made for her.

You might consider building the limbs using an orthogonal rotoscope image. It'll help. Some renders (or just screenshots) from a different angle will help us critique.

I'm going to have to learn Blender at least enough to use subsurface division on her leggings, reweight her arms, finish her eyes, and add some other bonus stuff before I can consider the model finished. I try not to complain too much about specific consistent problems with the model, but those are my plans.

At any rate, thanks. I'll be posting some stuff(notes/pic/video) in the TDCG/MMD thread soon, don't want to clutter this thread. Also, I was a little surprised you got the color/look of her nipples right. Did you just guess or did you get it from an image I didn't post on /jp/?

Imagine this: A squirming, pulsating swan cloaca. It's not something that you just come across every day. It truly takes dedication to catch one of those fuckers in the first place. Tying it down somewhere, while helpful, takes even more skill. But let's get back to the point: A swan, somewhere, has its glorious hole exposed to you. Is it a boy? A girl? You can't fucking tell with swans. They've evolved past the concept of gender. So you got a 50/50 chance you're a wholesome swan fucker (if there is such a thing) and a faggoty swan fucker. But these are odds I can live with.

Fitting in the tip is just the first step. You'll think, ``God, it's so tight, I'm going to explode!" And meanwhile the swan's screaming its head off, flapping its wings like there's no tomorrow. The swan may not know what you were up to before, but now, this fucker definitely knows. There's no way he couldn't. And you just keep sliding your dick into his hole, another inch after inch. It feels like it'll never end. The swan's wings flap in slow motion, and you can see each feather slowly drift down to the ground. Fucking thing of beauty it is. And it grips your dick harder, the more it struggles. She's one of those Chinese fingertraps you used to play with for your dick.

By the time you're half in, the swan's bleeding. This just makes the whole experience more ethereal. Your dick's lubed up just a bit more. And the swan will soon stop struggling altogether, as she enters a kind of trance. Pump, grind. Pump, grind. Let's go a bit faster now. Slowly in, slowly out. Reality begins to speed up. And your member grows even harder and even larger. Pump, grind. Pump, grind.

>> No.8642692

You're going in deep now. Balls deep. And the swan opens her graceful beak again. But she's not screaming now. Cawwww, the swan moans. Cawwww. She's in a state of ecstasy too. The fucking swan's going to orgasm soon. As you shove your dick in and out of her, she starts moving her hips in rhythm with your own. And the swans moans grow louder, becoming some kind of mysterious swan growl. Carooo, she replies: Carooo. She orgasms, fiercely clenching your cock deep within you. Your cock speaks back to her in terms she'll understand: Splud.

Slowly, slowly now, you take your cock out. Milky crimson film, a symbol of unity between man and beast glistens on it. The magical wonderland of swan fucking is over, your mystical experience fading to the real world. To you, it was a lifetime. To the real world, it was five minutes. But that red cream is a sign that it happened.

Since FL studio is a very popular program, youtube is flooded with "tutorials" by 13 year olds. There are definitely a few good ones out there, but you need to cut through the crappy ones first, which are quite a lot.

The most important things to learn are probably:
1. the piano roll
2. Patterns/Playlists.
Try looking into these two; pretty much all principles of the program are based on them.

When you want to export to MIDI, instead of picking a random VST (like 'FL Keys' in the example), you have to pick 'MIDI Out' from the list, and you can select the MIDI instrument to use in the settings of the MIDI Out. If you don't get any sound from the MIDI Out, mess around with the audio settings until you do - even default settings should give the default piano (patch 0) sounds.
When exporting to a .mid file, it only exports the MIDI Out channels, ignoring the VST/sample/soundfont/etc channels.

Thank you for drawing these. Beyond simply thinking they're hot, I think seeing them sort of burns my competitive drive and is driving me to work on the model. I've gotten a lot done since you started. Also, it's nice to see things I can't do easily in MMD(breast deformation, flowing stranded hair, draping legwraps, etc). The concept for the ends of her arm wraps is beautiful. I'd steal it if I could. Maybe I'll use it as part of an alternative outfit; now that I think about it, that wouldn't really fit with fur unless I did something special.

I have a lot more to say in terms of why it looks adult, but I don't think I should post it here(length). One thing I'll post anyways is that it looks like there's no boundary between her right jaw and neck. Not sure if it's something you haven't added or if it's intended based on angle, but the jaw would probably help determine the look of her age a lot(thus the picture, but I imagine you were conscious of it).
P.S. You may not want to use the model in MMD if you do start, heh. Seeing everything that's bad about it up close/first hand will probably ruin any magic that's left.

I'll be back in a few hours...

Jokes(?) aside, that's a fantastic job in my book, no pun intended. She does look quite different so I can understand why you don't think so if the look was your goal, though. She was always intended as a sorceress with a sort of integrated succubus idea(thus Sweet Magic before Sweet Devil), and I love the look. And hey, a succubus should be able to shift appearance for the job, right? Either way, this one is my favorite so far. The earlier ones did seem to have an oddity with perspective/foreshortening involving the legs, despite how much I liked them otherwise.

Most of what I had to say was solved in the finished version. I imagine you've got the idea down for how to make a loli character yourself so I'll avoid writing that out. It's kind of hard if you want to stay faithful to the model because aside from her face, the short upper body and small hands are the only other indicators; everywhere else is sort of overdeveloped. I'm going to be posting a video in a bit of a morph I have that tones down the difference in the waist and hips, though.

If you do end up trying MMD don't hesitate to ask me anything. I'm not sure how a Himari model would be done if that's primarily what you're in it for. I'll tell you the hair would be very difficult without Teto's(again), but beyond that it's something for the other thread.

Part of me wanted to avoid drawing the exact same facial/body proportions I use for Himari, even though their body type really is pretty similar(with Himari just being heavier up top). Not really sure why, either, but in the future I'll just do it anyway; I hadn't realized just how important the loli face was for your character, mostly because it seems like there's so few that enjoy LK specifically and I was reluctant to interpret it that way, but >>8652810 put my fear to rest.

Hmm, I'm not sure if you mean you think it's very important or you think I do, but I like either look. I'm not averse to seeing a mature-looking rendition and I can't really do that well in MMD as it would require remodelling the face, which is kind of delicate because of its structure.

The body-shifting explanation isn't a joke I thought up for that post; I've humored the thought for a long time because in the past I frequently changed her proportions(up until I made changes I was stuck with) based on mood since it's pretty much a cinch with tso2pmd. I still do with alternative outfits.

I'm going to be making some MMD-related notes in the TDCG thread.

Ah, you misunderstood. Don't worry, I would never actually do that to her. The idea I was tossing around in the stream was whether or not I should make my futa characters part of the same circle of interaction as Himari and Lily. Since I prefer to keep it borderline H/light H, I decided it was a bad idea; a futa character that controls her impulses and doesn't fuck anything is boring. And in a manga with a plot, you can still downplay the size of a character with ridiculous tits like Himari pretty easily, I would think. Drawing attention away from the size of the cocks I slap on futas is way too hard no matter how I imagine it. Instead they'd just have their own side smut when I want to hardcore, and by consensus I'm going to think up a trap.
They were even shorter than this originally, too, but I know even if someone can look past Himari's insane bustline, both girls would be uncomfortably short for many.

I agree, but it really depends on the individual. I personally feel like my small tablet is holding me back. It feels limiting to draw on and I have to use my wrist for every stroke instead of also using my elbow. The pressure levels also start feeling very shallow, something I didn't notice before. I have other complaints about my small tablet but I don't even have money to buy an intuos medium anyway.

Pic related, it's my gorgeous art limited by my shit tablet that would instantly be remedied by a larger, more expensive tablet.

I recognize the dash of tongue-in-cheek self-recrimination, but I'm going to reply seriously because I'm not very good at being jovial.

It may indeed depend on the individual - I would be interested in knowing whether there were people whose art improved after acquiring a nicer tablet. I only have my experience and some hearsay to go on.

I guess I'd say that the things you mention were more like annoyances than handicaps for me - it took 10+ attempts (and a lot of hand cramping) on the graphire to achieve the same result yielded by 2 attempts on the intuos. It might make a difference that I used the graphire for 10 or 11 years though, so I was very familiar with its quirks by the end. I'm also extremely lazy/haphazard when it comes to sketching, so maybe someone who is more technically minded would achieve more from the same transition.

A4 Intuos 4, transitioned from A5 Graphire3 in December 2010 I think. I pretty much agree with what you say: art is more about your skill than your tools.

For those considering buying a tablet, my advice would be to consider the size carefully. Larger isn't always better. If you have a small hand or weak arms like I do, large just means swinging your hand around more and zooming around less (and more/less zoom can be for better or worse depending on your technique). I think A5-A4 is the best size for most people, but it possible - I know for many in /jp/ this isn't - try to get your hands on someone else's tablet of that model and/or size and use it for a couple of hours to get a grip on what it's really like to draw with the thing.

I've been (slowly) working on my Miko arrange suite. It's already about 12 minutes long now (!) but the best (worst) part is it's still not finished yet.
Thought I might just share what I have first, though, in hopes of getting some criticism or advice or whatever. Oh, the production quality is still shit as usual, so don't worry about that too much!

Even if you don't care about the genre in particular, could you please listen to part 4 (the section starting at 7:11)?
This part, unlike the rest of the song, is an arrange of Starry Sky of Small Desires, and also unlike the rest of the song, is mainly a pseudo-orchestral/choral section.

Now I have next to zero knowledge concerning orchestral music knowledge, so I kinda bullshit my way through it. Hence feedback or tips would be very, very appreciated!

Fun with patterns

>> No.8676168

>>8674981
Overall, your usage of strings and keyboard instruments is pretty lame due to a blatant lack of rhythm.
The drums and guitar patterns are mostly quite good. 3:00 to 3:30 and 5:00 to 5:50 are horribly cliché though. Avoid using short loops with only strings to back up as in the beginning, take example on Silk Road Alice.
Concerning the part starting at 7:11, it's pretty much shit until 9:20 and the harpsichord is grossly misused.
Finally, you really should improve the production as it's making it very difficult to focus on the music. That trumpet at the end made me laugh uncontrollably even though it's a pretty decent climax.

I highly suggest you put a lot more embellishment, remove the parts where only one instrument is speaking and add more voices, because it feels very empty overall. That piece has the potential to be great.

Yeah, this is a major problem for me, and not just for strings and keys too. I have a really bad sense of rhythm overall; that's why I can't write a good riff or melody even if my life depends on it...
I wonder if there's any way to improve this?

The part at 7:11-9:20 seems to lack direction and purpose, yes. I kinda threw away the buildup made by the previous solo, didn't I? I was already thinking of remaking that whole part and the intro, and now it seems I really have to do it.

This won't happen until a while, due to physical restrictions. I really do need to get a better machine...

Here's the truth. There's a right way to practice and a wrong way to practice. You don't "draw until the good comes out", you learn how to not draw the bad in the first place. And there are tutorials for this all over the web. And they're mostly ignored because of how boring they are.

Good examples of progress stagnation is right here with magister and other drawfriends like ke4 and miyazaki. I can only blame it on the constant anime stylization. Anime is a dead end for artistic progress. It's a black hole. If you wanted to practice, you just gotta stop drawing anime. It's very hard to stop because anime is SO EASY to draw.

Anyway, one more thing you'll never want to hear: the less fun it is, the better it is for you. This is why I gave up drawing. I just want to take it easy. No hard things for me, I give up too easily.

Not really. It's the missing part of the equation though.

You are liable to succeed at things you enjoy. There is an unfortunate issue of how viable the different things people enjoy are. Lucky for you if say, you're a tall black man who enjoys basketball and working out.

>> No.8682073

I was on the right track for a time. The longer I was on it, the harder it got. You're the one who has no idea how to improve. You probably have no idea how to begin.

And anyway, what do YOU think is the path to real progress? Drawing more anime girls? Drawing 10000 pictures a day? Innate TALENT? Oh please. A quick google search for how to actually improve your drawing skills all agree with what I said one way or another. If you're thinking about those prodigy painters, they're about on the same level as savants. They're just freaks of nature.

>>8682062
I won't go back on my statement. It's not fun. But some people thrive on the challenge. Others don't. Tall black men who like basketball still have to do intense workouts and practices to keep themselves in top shape and playing ability. I don't think I ever met a guy who LOVED doing suicides as a main component of the sport he liked playing.

Don't misunderstand. I didn't say you have to stop drawing anime forever. That might have been how it looked, but what I meant was you have to stop drawing anime for practice.

Somebody who loves anime doesn't have to make all his final works super real paintings of apples, oranges and landscape and bore himself to death. He can draw anime, but he has to study all of the mechanics behind it to make a great picture. Anime is a bad tool to make that study. That's all.

Yes, what I am saying is if you want to draw an anime girl, don't practice drawing anime girls. Practice drawing a real human body, study the proportions, how muscle and fat is distributed around the body, how the body bends and moves, etc. Same thing if you want to draw a machine. Don't practice drawing your favorite gundams (you CAN IF YOU WANT TO, just don't expect it to help you), you practice by drawing similar looking machines and parts in real life. If you don't, the most you can do is make shitty copies of the same looking gundam, then look in amazement as somebody designs something utterly fantastic.

Cause he's a failure and he just wants other people to give up like him.
Sure getting better requires effort, but so what? Everybody also has their own way of speed of learning and also differ in how they learn.
There's no right or wrong way to going about practice for everyone.
As long as you're aware of your faults and where you need to improve, it doesn't matter if you constantly draw anime stylization. You can still learn how to do proper anatomy with it.
And depending on your style, you don't have to be anatomically precise to every little muscle and detail.

In the end, that guy's an idiot and blowing shit out of his ass.

There are many anime artists have very realistic and human looking bodies.
Those artists have a good sense of anatomy and it shows in their art.

You know, the kind that aren't don't draw characters made out of tubes and ball joints.

Stagnation all depends on the artist's willingness to improve and learn more.
Its just that a lot of anime artists all tend to give up after they reach a point when their tube bodies look "good enough". The worst is when they have fans that don't give criticism once the drawing reaches the minimum threshold.

Going on any forums for artists or even on /ic/ is a good way to get criticism and stop being deluded to see what you can improve on, but a lot of anime artists would get anal devastated to learn that most of their stuff is wrong and they basically have to go back to the start and learn properly.
So they tend to avoid places like that and stick to DA where everyone loves their shit.

I don't blame stylization though, this is just the effect of the anime community being an endless circlejerk that lets artists stagnate once they reach that threshold, unless the artist himself wants to improve and keep practicing.

If you're a beginner, you can just go ahead and pick at random. However if you're truly at rock bottom, there was a learning how to draw book that's on a pdf somewhere but I forgot the name. It teaches you the very very basics and if you actually do everything it tells you, you can see major improvement (utter shit -> average drawfriend tier) in a matter of days.

It's generally self-centric and particularly being this is fucking /jp/ where the standards of art in most of the board content vary wildly, a bit narrow mindedly elitist. People insisting on -how- you -must- learn instead of -what- you -should- learn tend to come across as dicks when that doesn't jive with your experience. A lot of what is called "talent" is just people learning or approaching things a different way that makes some aspect appear easier.

I have the same revulsion to people who insist you must learn Japanese one exact way that worked for them and is thus the only right way.

I really hate that word.

Its bullshit, talent just makes it slightly easier for someone to be able to do something. Claiming someone has "talent" and you don't basically throws away any effort they put to getting there, making it look like
>oh who cares how much you practiced or what you did, you'd have gotten there anyways since you have "talent"

You still have to learn and fucking practice to get better, just like anyone else who wants to do it.

Its the exact same thing as those fat people claiming they want to lose weight but do nothing about it.

Yes I mad.

To an extent, I can understand your complaints about artists who draw extreme proportions such as where hands are as large as the head and refuse to step back and think about whether they're not actually just refusing to self-analyze, but I don't think I've ever seen him draw legs outside of the constraints of reality or even rarity. Or do you mean he doesn't draw them true to the actual characters? Obviously his fetish character is a little exempt from this.

His eyes are probably the thing he gets the most compliments about, but I can agree the effect looks cloudy(maybe just recently?) and I don't like shadows on eyes either, although they are common in this style for some reason.

Musician here. I can't fully agree with the haters, but from my experience they make at least one very valid point that probably applies to art in the same way it applies to music: Never, ever stick with one single style.

At first, you start improving in that style. But the speed of improvement slows down after a while, and you stop improving. Your works stay at the same level of quality for a little while...and then slowly actually become WORSE. You become so used to a certain style of doing things that you end up only doing things that way, and as a consequence stop using small innovations outside of the usual way to do things. For me, as someone who gets frustrated and discards his work when it isn't good enough, it generally results in me failing to create anything for a while.

The solution is technically pretty simple but practically extremely hard: Create stuff in a significantly different style (one you haven't tried before) for a while. It may not be your favorite style, but after some practice you start improving in that style and you get decent stuff out of it. Then, after a while, you'll naturally end up going back to your own style, but this time you have innovations from the different style to continue improving with. After a while, that runs dry as well, and you have to go back and try something else.

As long as you keep up this cycle of trying different things and using things you learned from them for your own style, you will improve. If you don't, you become Aoi Nishimata.

I don't understand people like this. Why draw fan art for games you haven't even played? Is it even "fan art" anymore in that case?

It always annoys me when artists draw art of characters that does not fit the characters at all, like serious characters looking all happy and calm and clearly dominant characters being all weak and fragile. I wonder how often that's just a case of the artist not actually knowing anything about the character...
