I'm not an artist, but I work with artist and the commonality between all the goods one tend to be this;

They love following other artists. Tons of favorites of pixiv and gelbooru. Then they learn through imitation. Try to learn various styles from various artists, merge them together in their mind, then produce their own original style from that.

Oh, they also spend tons of time drawing in those communal online drawing apps with other artists. ie; buy a tablet.

Ofcourse, I have no idea what I'm talking about, I can hardly draw stick figures.
