Luckily, every single one of my favorite characters in every single 2D fighter I've played have been top tier at one point or time. Hate it when they drop down in a revision though, but I never entirely drop them.

Still gotta disagree with Yukari. Her long-range priority outclasses everyone, and for the melee she's quite better than Alice and Suika (who is not top tier). Yukari's DP C destroys everything at close-range.

She's much, much better than Alice, and I say this a person who plays both characters quite well.

I agree. However, regarding Alice's placement -- I know that she is tougher to use than in IaMP (?) But in Japan don't the publications base tier listing on their POTENTIAL as well as ease of use, whereas American tiers tend to focus only on the latter and/or matchups.

For example, Makoto was top tier along with Ken, Chun-Li, and Yun for SFIII:3S in Japan despite having horrid matchups compared to the latter three, but in America Makoto is not considered top tier.

I don't agree that Yukari is destinally better than Alice or anyone else, the point is that their role & difficulty is VERY different.
And I lol'd at long-range whatever, I think that merit fits Iku/Yuyuko; not that Sakuya is any crappier, but can't be counted vs Yukari, the only good she does with that is with her special Cards, which are :awe: in middle-range.
Still, I consider Yukari a Special Hyrbid class of character that has both very fucked up Middle-Short Ranged attacks that make you RAAEG hard, and in my honest opinion, much better than your godly Marisa player, because the average Yukarifag has lots of shit to deal with her.

Were those results from some Japanese tourney?
Also I never thought IaMP balance was very "right." SWR feels a lot better off, but they need to tone down a handful of characters, tweak damage, and tweak defense.
Oh, and add more characters and voices. I want to hear Yukari yell "CHOO CHOO!"
