I've got the first two; they're fairly useful. Very little of that romanized bullshit.

I've got this collection and it's very useful, in theory, when you finish them you should have earned a Noken 3 level or similar.

But i'm talking about the spanish edition, so it may differ, here we have got only 2 books with their respective workbooks with exercises, manga and stuff, but i think that the content is the same.

Also there is another collection called "Kanji to remember", i don't know if it exists in english but is pretty useful too.

If you want to learn from the beginning i think it is the easier way, especially if you do the exercises of the woorkbook at the same time.

I'll take a look into it, but it sounds like I'm probably above it's level. Could help with grammar maybe.

How basic is the stuff in the first book? Wouldn't want to buy a book I have no real use for.

The first book is only to start from the beginning, katakana, hiragana, numbers, hours, dates, basic vocabulary and grammar and all that stuff, if you already know all of that, you could start with the next book, which is actually "useful japanese", but without the first book you shouldn't be able to understand the next.

You can find all 3 of them as pdfs 2 seconds googling for it. I know that not having a physical copy sucks though.

>> No.8600897

I got the first one for my birthday ages ago, it helped me get a basic understanding and handle of japanese. should really complete it, even if it means slogging through the stuff I already know.

Maybe I'll look at the others
