Reimu is not Lawful Good, I can tell you that much. In canon, Reimu is a person who distances herself from pretty much everyone, and is only concerned with keeping order in Gensokyo, rather than doing good.

Her whole "keeping order" thing merely involves being Yukari's janitor though, so it's not like she's doing anything harmful. It's little more than beating up a bunch of people, but those people always regenerate completely in the end because she's not using fatal attacks.

Nobody in Gensokyo is Lawful Good. Even Byakuren is not, and the reason is because she sided with the youkai.

Also, Marisa is not aligned with Good at all, since her objectives always involve personal curiosity and looking for things to steal. They rarely actually involve "doing the right thing," if ever.

It's not like Touhou characters don't have any sense of kindness about them though. Many of them do, it's just that they all live as they please.

This is one huge reason why I love Gensokyo: there's nobody running around with the "righteousness" stick up their ass, looking for people to judge and throw in jail or even kill in the name of "justice."

The only thing you get if you break a law in Gensokyo, is a bit of pain. And there's not very many laws. That's how it should be.

The Hakurei shrine maidens are the most important beings in Gensokyo, if the current one dies without a heir, Gensokyo and all of its inhabitants will cease to exist.

Normally you'd need to have the shrine maiden have to mate with a male villager but due to the above mentioned there's an emergency plan where a non-related person can take the spot should the shrine maiden not get a descendant.

Such plan hasn't been enacted according to Mima.

There's no alignment in Gensokyo, Reimu can be considered ''good'' since none of her acts have been contrary to her duties, that is, exterminate youkai and take care of her shrine and do her miko stuff. She can also be considered ''bad'' because youkai enthusiasts like Byakuren don't like the fact that she exterminates youkai for a (non-existent) living.

This applies to most other Touhous, even the ones people think are good like Mokou and Keine have faults, the former being a bit childishly immature with grudges and the latter hating youkai.
