My staple tea is barley, since it's cheap, doesn't have caffeine, and tastes good chilled. I suggest going to a Korean store and buying a large bag of cooked barley, rather than the bagged, powdered barley.

Nothing much to say.
Sake is just superior. More kick, easier to drink and goes well with chips and junk food.
Beers make you fat as well make your tummy bloated from all the gas. I get light headed from sake, never from beer unless I drink a half dozen bottle or something.

No. Gin is flavored with herbs to give it its flavour. Sake is (usually) not, so the taste depends more on the fermentation characteristics, somewhat like wine. You can have sweet and floral sake, or for example you could have a more dry sake with less sugar. Sake is if anything closer to corn liquor in variety and flavour.

I honestly don't even remember, it's been years and I've only had it a few times. I just remember that it was authentic Japanese sake given as a gift from my Japanese aunt. It was in a deep green glass bottle with kanji written on the outside if that helps.

My suggestion would be to go to a Japanese market and see what they recommend.
