Hey /jp/, I just started with the SWR faggotry so I haven't been keeping up with all the threads so far.

I'm wondering, what tier does Alice belong to? She's my favorite Touhoe so I plan on mastering her. I just want to know if I'm going to be considered cheap by playing her.

There are no tiers because the game is too new, but Aya and Reimu are overpowered far beyond the rest of the cast. Komachi and Reisen are considered the worst, but Reisen is really good in the right hands.

I have few (major) problems with your list, but Iku is "generally" considered low because people are idiots. They see that she's slow and hard to use and since THEY can't get past that, they dismiss the possibility that anyone else can. Lolno. Alice is fairly easy to learn IMO. I've never played Yukari, but I can't imagine it being that big of a gap in time investment. Also note that I said that Yukari might be higher, but I placed her where she is because of the lack of extremely good Yukaris on 4chan.

You're missing the point of tiers if you honestly believe this. The point is how good a character is if played to the limits of human ability, that is, at tourney-level.

Playability/ease of use has nothing to do with tournament-level gameplay, and I fail to see what the hell you're trying to say. If it's hard to use a character well for some reason, such as Tenshi's advanced BnB being extremely hard to do, the tourneyfag will likely be able to do it anyway. How the hell can you claim that ease of use is the most important thing or even relevant when someone will be willing to put in the hours of practice to do it right. Do you see Melty Blood tournaments being won by someone spamming projectiles with Nero or someone actually learning the combos? One's a HELL of a lot harder to do, so the projectile spamming one obviously wins out in ease of use, yet he never wins. I wonder why?
