Children are losing social skills because of 'screen addiction'

>Child psychologist Kimberley O'Brien, of Quirky Kid Clinic, said they are finding more parents are enrolling their children in social skills classes because of how much time they spend watching television or playing computer and electronic games.
>Dr O'Brien said "screen addiction" is increasing - even for children as young as in kindergarten - with children more comfortable playing electronic games than playing with other children.
>She said when they asked children what their favourite thing to do is, about 60 per cent of them said watching TV or playing games.
>"Social skills need a bit more work these days because of screen time," Dr O'Brien said. "The ones that may have spent too much time on the screen may be a little behind when it comes to social skills but kids can be very adaptable."
>Dr O'Brien said in their social skills and communication program, they teach children how to join groups, to take turns and to be able to talk and play with other children.

I never developed social skills because I spent most of my early childhood with my nose in a book. Maybe we should campaign against books, too.

3D confirmed for disgusting in canon. Even kids agree.

I always prefered being alone after school when I was a kid. Why would I spend my own time with people whom I just spent 6 hour studying with? So I watched TV, played games and read on my own time.
