NEETs that are on the computer 14+ hours a day without investing in any skills are retarded. You have all this time to work on yourself and refine a skill, yet you squander it. Why?

Use that time and invest in yourself. How else are you going to have any fun in life if you are only good at naming doujins by their cover? It's not like you need to have some normalfag mentality either, i'm learning how to sew and tailor to make touhou costumes.

Come on, /jp/. Get to it!

Usually hobbies tie in with something that you enjoy. So, say if you enjoy touhou(who am i kidding, "if"). You can do something that revolves around that. Doll making, music, whatever. Then it starts from there, you already have a goal (make touhou stuff) and thats good motivation.

I was thinking about learning electronics, just with medium understanding of logic gates and synchronous circuits you can build neat structures and then create figures with motion, sadly this needs some cash for materials: latchs, wire, empty chips..etc.
I doubt I'll successful in my first tries.

>> No.8524988

>>8524983
It's very simple actually. I can recommend some text if either of you would like. The basics on pure electrical components rather than the semiconductor bits are very important if you want to move over to electric servo's for motion. AC stepper style motor are what you'd want to carefully manage movement there, and they're relatively simple if you have a strong foundation.

Is not hard actually.
Let's say that you begin with switch with 3 states.
Off, 1, 2.

1 triggers C1, 2.. etc.
Then proceed to design what you want e.g: raise left hand, move head and blink, design then a circuit with 3 outputs and join them with Mux1-2/: eneables H active, 1-mov up, 0- mov-down (Eneable 0=no movement), adjust sequence, clock for the speed and the right components, depends where you live, and that simple motion is done, it shouldn't take more than 2 hours to design and other 2 to create a small chip with these. Is easy since you can do it with a Moore/Mealy machine with 6 states.

Just in case anyone actually was interested;

http://www.mediafire.com/?l2x2z6t6tkaon9e

This book is very important and will cover the most basic of material. Heavy math analysis is not needed if you will stay solely on the solid state side. You might have to purchase a multimeter for a few dollars (they are rather cheap) if you want to try some measurements on your household electronics.

http://depositfiles.com/files/6dtt69y0z
This is a good book to cover the digital logic side of things for general solid state. It's a basic book, so you will need something like "electronic devices and circuits" by Bogart to cover a more extended topic on this.

that should carry you enough if you actually do go through these texts, to understand the basics and be able to work with your own creations.

http://www.mediafire.com/?yd1ed4idatajb70
The author of this book was my professor for a few semesters. This should cover most of what you need for hobbyist electrical motors.

Three texts, although you could find another to accompany later on and show you examples of large scale circuitry. You don't need a teacher to guide you through this stuff, as all you're paying for at any college/academy/university is a paper stating that you did in fact finish. You do 99% of the learning on your own, and any questions you might have there is google.

Film photography. It's possible to get everything you need for less than 50$ with a couple of films. Of course, you'll have a shitty commie camera, but you can still take better pictures than with your average compact camera.
