It's the only case with this sale, I've seen previous sales of this fig, it was "stained / damaged" with a photo of "damaged" inner side of her hand that holds mop. It happens when a fig holds something for a while, I "damaged" like that my Saber Lily too. You can't even see this scratch with the mop in her hand.

Looks like a rhetorical question, but never tried if there was a difference. It was under my assumption that the currency change rate would be lower with Paypal since it probably charge more for the rate and/or takes a portion from the money transfer.

To be fair, that's a really nice Saber, probably the best figma one yet.

Still though, I'd still prefer that instead of do 10 variants of a super popular character like MF/GSC are keen on, that they just release an improved version, for example a Saber with detail/paint apps/articulation akin to the SAS JJBA line would instantly get my money, whereas this and the many other Saber variant figma will not. I ordered the Matsukura Nemu dsgn. Reimu/Marisa from Amiami. Two days ago they got released, and only then did it say "sold out" on the product page.

Depends on the item. Some of them will sell out within hours (or minutes) of going from pre-order to in-stock, while other statues, whether they're unpopular or were simply super-mass produced, will last days, weeks or even months on regular sale.

Figs that don't sell well aren't necessarily bad, they could just be redundant, too expensive or outclassed by some other fig of the same char (that everyone already has or has already preordered in favor over the current options).

Those Matsu ones in question are on restock status, meaning that the fig already released in an original run, but they're making more of them to replace the sold-out status, which as listed will happen around the end of the month. Putting an order in for an item on the restock que is functionally the same as preordering an item, it's just that preorders are for first-time releases only. I'm considering getting that Matsu marisa myself, not the reimu though since I like that other one where she's flying over the shinto gates far more.

For starters I can't seem to align the dolls correctly in the same plane, the attachments seem to be a little odd and there are no clear instruction which goes in which side. it just looks odd.

But the biggest and most glaring problem is the painting. Now excuse the poor photo but even there is should be quite visible the white smooch around the attachment hole. It's even more annoying when you see it for real.

Most figures are a one time run meaning after they sell out, you have to pay whatever scalpers and resellers are asking or otherwise you are out of luck. Basically, if you see one for preorder you want, if you don't pre-order it or buy it RIGHT when it comes out you will either never get it or pay 3x the price for it. Mandrake is a good store for buying older figures (you have to use japanese characteres not english words). Amiami is the preferred site for new figs although there are others like HLJ, amiami usually has the lowest prices.

So by buying ones that are already sold out at many stores, you usually have to pay a fair bit more than what it cost when it came out. Thats why most of us keep a keen eye on what is up for preorders every night on amiami, and always preorder figures we want, otherwise you might have to pay many times the original price. You can sometimes find decent deals on MFC (my figure collection) from people trying to clear some space in their collection, ebay should be a last resort due to the incredible amount of fakes on it.

My Hitagi figure arrived today, only took 4 days as it was coming from a guy in France. £90 misb, including postage, so I'm quite happy with the price. The figure itself is beautiful, I love her expression. The utensils on the base are a bit fiddly to put together and I was terrified I'd snap one, the hands being attached to the skirt also make them a real ball ache to slot into the wrists. Got there in the end though!

Alter Hanekawa is on sale at AmiAmi. IMO Hitagi and Hanekawa are the two main heroines so you should get it.

How do you clean "dirt" on figurine /jp/ ?
i have the figurines like in the pic, my brother took all my stuff, threw it in a bag and gave it to me,
this fucker didn't realized there were some sort of weird brown glue in the bag,
now both of my figurines have brown glue on them, i could scratch but it won't 100% take off everything, any idea ?
