Do I even deserve to be in /jp/?

Only toehoe I've beaten is IN on normal because of deathbombing. Rate my plebeianess.

unless you're an audiophile homolord, I don't see many reasons for saving music. Online playlists can be heard from other PCs as well. There's only the problem that shit might get deleted, but touhou music is generally safe from it...

I suck at Touhou and can't 1CC any game on Normal. I can't be bothered to get better. However, I have followed Touhou fandom for years and consider myself a fan.

Now go play MarsMatrix

>> No.8499040

I feel like I'm not worthy for touhou, since I can't clear anything above Normal. So now I'm waiting until I can at least get to 2-2 in dai ou jou before I begin playing it again.

I feel like the touhous are making fun of me when I game over on piss easy Normal mode. ;_;

I can't 1cc any touhou games, not even in easy mode with cheats to always have max power and using all the continues.

Gameplay general?

I just played EoSD Lunatic with MarisaB and I was on track for a pretty decent score but ended up dying four times in stage 6 and gameovering. Now I need to gather motivation by viewing cute pictures of touhous until I can try again.

>> No.8499364

My internet was out for the last 12 hours.

I spent that time actually organizing my doujin collection, catching up on a few albums, and frustrating myself at Hard/Lunatic.

Its really amazing how much prettier Ten Desires is compared to even UFO. Feels like a lot of work went into it.

I already played my morning Touhou run through.

I might play some more though.

Is it possible to be autistic and have a learning disorder? Because I just spent the past 10 or so hours grinding SA stage 5 Lunatic until I was able to no miss no bomb it.

Autistic disorder (as in DSM-IV autistic disorder--not "autism spectrum disorder" or whatever the latest bullshit is) has a strong association with mental retardation. Around 75% of children with autistic disorder function at a retarded level.

Is it worth buying a good keyboard solely to play Touhou with? I struggle to make subtle enough movements with my keyboard's directional keys and sometimes I end up moving into bullets rather than out the way of them because of it.

...In retrospect, maybe it's not my keyboard and I'm just a klutz.

It's okay, the games are just a delivery platform for the music anyway. Because Zun wanted to be a musician but thought people wouldn't want to listen to his music so he made games to trick people into listening to it.

If someone could recommend me a good keyboard, that would be great. Also a gamepad if you guys know anything about it.

Now something that I really have been meaning to ask /jp/ about is a vertical monitor. I sometimes see setups where people play danmaku on vertical monitors. Could any of you recommend me a good one? Or what I should look out for in monitors?

Thank you, /jp/.

>> No.8499742

>>8499723
Any standard keyboard is fine for playing Touhou as long as you don't experience any ghosting.

I was kind of clumsy with the keyboard when I first started using it, but now pads feel awkward and imprecise to me. Just takes getting used to.

>> No.8499741

>>8499735
I was trying to make a bad pun. Yes, use a gamepad. I use a Saturn one because I'm an unoriginal faggot.
Do NOT use a 360 one though... that's the worst pad known to mankind.

>> No.8499745

>>8499736
A vertical monitor is just a monitor you flip yourself, then you go to options and select tate mode.
Touhou is in 4:3 so unless you purposedly zoom in removeing the score frame, having your monitor in vertical position is useless

>> No.8499748

>>8499723
I don't think it's your keyboard. Buying a better or more responsive ``mechanical'' keyboard (or whatever it is they market to the ``1337 gaymur kidz'' these days) will not affect your ability to make subtle movements. Just use a slower character and hold shift, or scrape the walls.
