Just bought Fortune Summoners 2 hours ago, fun game. Tried to upload my FS folder, needs 7zip beta to extract, but it has some shady DRM that keeps asking to log in Steam to play with sotes.exe regardless of Steam being turned on or not. Any /prog/ experts in here?

Regardless, Steam's DRM is one of the least intrusive ones out there - all you need to do is leave something that doesn't affect your performance much and can be used to chat with people open. Much better than installing botnets or anything from EA or Ubisoft.

Anyway, the game seems a bit too expensive at the moment, even with the 25% off, so I'm going to either wait until a holiday sale or pirate it when possible.

Same problem here, at first, I thought I was supposed to explore everywhere until I found Stella, there's some vines in Crypt dungeon that seem to be her specialty, but it seems like they want you to do father's tasks or something...I can't find another slime bean apart from the one I already offered him, either very rare drop or bad luck.

There's a good chance I can crack it, but not without having access to your machine: activation done right is only crackable if you have something to extract the keys from your machine, which I don't, or access to that machine. It'd be some memory editing and a few breakpoints, dump and recover imports. Unfortunately it would take too long to describe this process over imageboards.

The rough idea would be to place a hardware breakpoint here:

Go into that call and skip a few anti-debugging checks, after that, steam will load and decrypt your exe with keys accessible from your account when you bought the game.

After that you can place a hardware breakpoint on execution at this jump:

If none of this rings any bells you can try something automatic like Phoenix from stat1cv01d.com but I have no experience using that, so you're on your own with that tool.
