The actual load speed isn't faster, but Nicovideo is fucking annoying in general and has economy mode(although that doesn't matter for music). The actual load speed isn't slow but it's unreliable as fuck and fails to load videos all the time. Not only that, but there's a limit on how many videos you can load at once(2), and this seems to cause glitches constantly(see previous sentence).

The site is fucking garbage and horribly designed. Youtube is catching up in bad site design with its increasing advertisements and such, but Nicovideo's only saving graces are 60FPS and higher video quality due to lack of forced re-encodes, and given economy mode these aren't really benefits unless you're premium. At least they got rid of their horrible, horrible invasive periodic advertising and pointless time announcements(I don't care if you could turn them off with addons--that's beyond the point).

Well, for listening to music, none of this really matters if you're only listening to a couple songs. But unless you have a premium account, Nicovideo is pretty awful for video/music browsing of any sort(... actually, I'm not even sure if loading is reliable for premium users).
