Just thought I'd let you know, Mediafire is taking down links.
Where will you get your comiket music now /jp/?

>> No.8479838

FUCK

Really?

I was planning on downloading them all when my external hard drive arrived.

>> No.8479842

>>8479834
From where they upload it, the only sad part is the speed if we go back to p2p and alikes.

>> No.8479843

Share, obviously!

>> No.8479851

y'know, they have these things called Torrents, and conveniently, there's a Touhou Lossless/Lossy collection, so you only have to look around for non-Touhou releases. Also, Share and Perfect Dark.

>> No.8479859

I buy mine.

Yes, I'm an idiot.

>> No.8479862

If you're too much of a dumbass to use share, rapidshare doesn't have servers in the US like mediafire and megaupload, so I doubt it'll be going down soon.

Really though, does your entire life revolve around ddls? All I ever used ddls for was rpg books.

>> No.8479866

I can't even find Share. Googling "Share" helps as much as you'd imagine.

>> No.8479869

>>8479862
why not use demonoid for rpg books?

>> No.8479883

>>8479869

That megatorrent on demonoid doesn't have every obscure rpg, while punching in +"title" +pdf(or 7chan) into google does. Or did.

4shared was also really good for finding ocred versions of print only books before they wiped all their files.

>> No.8479894

>>8479866
Try "share p2p", genius.

>> No.8479897

Are there any other good MegaDrive/Genesis covers?

>> No.8479929

Isn't share a hotter target then torrents?

I rmemeber edonkey users getting fucked hard a while ago.

>> No.8479954

Share gets people arrested all the time (but only Japanese).

Perfect Dark requires a 100KB/s upload speed which I don't even think is available in my part of the world.

>> No.8479962

Trimming services like Megaupload or mediafire only helps trim the normalfags. They'll get bored of the internet real quick, and leave, hopefully containing themselves to cesspools like facebook and reddit. We still have torrents, DC++, IRC+, Usenet, etc.

Only good can come of this.

>> No.8479965

>>8479954
Arrested? What for?

>> No.8479968

All 190 of my files are still intact, so I'm not worrying.

>> No.8479969

>>8479965

Uploading copyrighted material. Are you retarded?

You need to upload to use share. Thankfully all of us don't live in Japan, so it's not our problem.

>> No.8479989

>>8479962
I really can't stand the term normalfag, I used plenty of those services as well as the alternatives.

People are mad because plenty of files have probably been lost for a while/might not ever be recovered not because they cannot find the files anymore, after megaupload went down all that happened was the traffic to alternatives went up, once the alternatives go down, everyone will just move to torrents etc.

Fuck off with your highhorse thinking everyone who used ddl was a moron who couldn't use torrents/usernet/share/whatever.

>> No.8479992

>>8479962
Surely some "normalfags" will go away, but, unfortunately, we "abnormalfags" will lose quite some obscure files along the way. I'd rather keep my files, thank you.

>> No.8480015

So anyone got any good share nodes then?

>> No.8480030

Mediafire attempts to remove copyrighted material to the best of its ability? Whoa, alert the presses!

>> No.8480067

>>8480030
Mediafire gave the FBI free rein over its servers.
This is a big thing.

>> No.8480085

I just checked my files. It seems like most of them are there as far as I can tell.

In other news, 2ch really loves ero voice CDs. hundreds of thouands of downloads, and tones of moonrune posts in the ghost board.

>> No.8480098

For those of you wondering, Bitgamer has an extensive selection of VNs and their translation patches, always seeded.

I'm going to buy a new HDD and stockpile, just in case.

>> No.8480107

>>8480085
Funny how the Nips evenly divide their time between moral outrage at us dirty gaijins pirating their glorious culture and begging on our ghost boards for us to do just that and share it with them.

>> No.8480124

>>8480107
It's almost like there's more than one of them.

>> No.8480132

>>8480124
>It's almost like there's more than one of them.

Are you aware of Asian drone culture? There's a very good reason most of their shit is 100% alike. They are one and the same in hypocrisy.

>> No.8480137

Speaking of downloads, where can I obtain old PSX games? Or even older Genesis/SNES games?

>> No.8480146

>>8480137
I'm pretty sure there's still plenty of Genesis/SNES rom sites that use direct download. Use a tracker for PS1 games, since I think a lot of sites used to use megaupload.

>> No.8480147

can't we reup faster than they can take down

>> No.8480152

>>8480147
The thing is, things are scattered, and people are probably waiting for things to die down, before mass reupping.

>> No.8480154

>>8480137
Well, snesorama used to have a lot of shit, but it was hosted on MU

You can download the full PSX sets from underground-gamer

>> No.8480158

>>8479969
>You need to upload to use Share

You mean like in the same way you seed a torrent?

>> No.8480168

>>8480015
This is literally something you can search for on google, there are text files and lists of encrypted nodes all over. Granted a number of the sites no longer exist, but you only really need one list to get it running, after that it adds nodes that it finds.

>> No.8480171

>>8480158

No, you basically need to share to use share, IE: have files for upload.

>> No.8480175

>>8480171
I've downloaded hundreds of GB without uploading a single file of my own. I haven't a clue what you're talking about.

>> No.8480187

>>8480175
Same here, I even clear my cache from diffuse files from time to time.
