I try to fuzzy guard but I don't think I ever actually did it correctly. The pillar is supposed to go off after the second jC to allow me to combo. The fuzzy guard takes a bit too much button shuffling for my poor execution skills since I'm IADing with 6A+B.

Regarding 22A for pressure, I found that unless the pillar is right on top of them, a lot of times people would just mash 2C, the pillar would go off through their character sprite and not hit them.

You can make it so the pillar activates before your opponent even tries to do a 2A let alone a 2C. Almost airtight, but not really so you can get counter hits. Just like staggering your normals. Maybe then after they respect it, you can just hold the button longer for even more frame advantage.

5B antiair. No matter the moon, 5B is amazing, especially FRyougi's ridiculously good 5B. If the enemy is in the air, you can almost always land a 214C whiff j.B 5C j.BC j.BC 236B, unless they're in the middle of an attack or in a weird position. If they are in the air, you might want to consider being in the air as well. Your j.B is good for air-to-air. Probably want to abuse 421 gimmick as well. Even in high level Jap play, people fail to block it sometimes. So troll tier to see Ieda win with a 421. Mix it up with 214s. End combos in rekka, dash back, then instant air dash back in with a j.B for a solid oki. Or just do a Sacchin style sandoori. If your pressure is good enough, you don't need to anti air as much. Or you can play FRyougi who has hilarious 5B anti air.

Eh, backdash, then IAD back in. Not just dash back in. Dashing in works too, though. Dash, the neutral jump. Momentum takes you to the other side, barely. If you jump straight up as you're over them, you have fairly good oki, 'cause they can't tell whichway or high/low.

The only way to escape a valid combo is by Sparking, which you can only do in MAX meter mode. It's a long combo, but I can only relaunch once with the flames (214a).

Is momoji loop for C V-Akiha almost completely necessary now to do a decent amount of damage? Some of her other bnbs that you could do in MBAC seemed to have been nerfed damage wise (can only get around 2.7-2.8k now with it as opposed to ~3.3k) and can't do 2 J.Bs during the combo either

Additionally, it's not an infinite actually, the amount of loops is limited (but she can certainly combo you for a good 40+ seconds and aim for timeout). Just an even simpler version of a matchup chart. It's ok to look at tier list, it's just that people that aren't really high level put too much emphasis/weight on them and end up either "tier whoring" or bitching about high tier rather than trying to learn a matchup/character.

Matchup charts generally rank characters as well, except it shows how each character fairs against the rest of the roster, and then ranks them based on their matchups.

Either way, it's fine to use tier list/matchup charts imo, just don't use it as an excuse to not learn difficult matchups or change you're character solely because you want to win without learning

You should do that for casual play, but for high level/tournament play, tier lists are sometimes a pretty good representation of what characters will generally see success more often than not.

Like you probably won't see Neco's winning a tournament anytime soon, but if you were to play online, you might encounter a neco that seems absolutely amazing, but that's also due to lack of experience against said characters.

Tier lists become a problem when casual/online players start using it as a basis for how they choose their characters or learning the game in general. It gets to be a problem when people start bandwagonning and crying about high tier characters without actually learning the matchup at all, or something along the lines.
