Nah, you got it all wrong. You wrap the end of your rifle barrel to keep rainwater/mud from getting in and screwing the barrel. You can take the condom off after your rifle is in a dry place, or (worst case scenario) a bullet will punch through the rubber if you need to fire a round off.

They may also be using the condoms recreationally, but we were taught that condoms could, in a pinch, be used to keep our rifles clean.
