I just finished this VN, and I feel the love story is deeply touching and the story as a whole was quite moving...

but what is this lingering unease?

You doomed the whole human race.
But it was still lovely.

Just finished Saya no Uta.
It was pretty shitty. Post trauma effects - just watch Jacob's ladder... And even Silent Hill is better.
Well, what am I expecting from porn-VN? Low fucking tier.

I recently finished Saya no Uta and I must say it was amazing.

For the frist time in a while I was able to troughly enjoy something. I really felt with the protagonist, his agony in the rotten world. The way he devoted himself to Saya. Seeing the other side of the story made it even better, the "truth" of the situation, how it would look like to us. It is a magnificent story that questions the world around us, our concept of life, good and bad, everything. I was really happy for them in the end.

And for the first time in a long time, I was unable to sleep that night, after playing trough all three ending one after another.

tl;dr why is Saya no Uta so awesome?

>> No.8378044

Finished Saya no Uta. And it was really, really average.

95% of the cast was completely unlike-able, the exceptions being Saya herself and Kouji. The plot wasn't all that good, though it did have it's moments. The resolution was either extremely stupid or doesn't resolve much at all, depending on which you take.

That said, I didn't hate it. It was interesting enough to keep me reading, but it never wowed me or made me experience any emotion at all, for that matter. The sad moments never effected me, and the 'intense' moments made me go ''meh''. Everything is pretty much forgettable.

Can somebody explain me why people hyped it so much? Because there's absolutely nothing special about it.

Ok anons, I just finished Saya no Uta and I almost cried manly tears, not because the end was BAWWWWWWWWW, but because its so GOOD that I feel WARM and TOUCHED.
Saya infested this ugly world with her seeds of love and transformed human beings into a more superior species capable of understanding and love. Saya is almost too merciful if you realize that humans are no more than prey to her. That Male lead is hell of a lucky guy.
This game is almost as curing as ARIA. lol

I don't feel like making another thread. I just finished Saya no Uta. Oh my god. I knew that Saya was a monster. Hell, they tell you that halfway through the game.

Big spoiler ahead as I get this off my chest. Don't read it if you haven't played the VN and/or have the desire to play the game in the future.

I began the game with feelings love and sympathy for the two. Then the first girl died. Ohme, I think her name was. That was a hit to my conscious, but it didn't make me think any less of the protagonist. It made me realize that Saya was a monster. But I still liked her. She was cute and lovable. I still liked her.

Then Yoh. My penis was slightly aroused by the mind breaking sex slavery that occurred, but my mind and spirit were vomiting. The main protagonist was evil, and so was Saya. I knew that. But they were just struggling to survive. They didn't think they were evil. Plus, they were the protagonists, so I had to be on their side. And so I stayed on their side. Giving them my best wishes for their future, despite the ugliness I saw them as in my heart.

Saya and Kouji are more than 5% of the cast dipshit

>> No.8378073

So, I just finished Saya no Uta. I loved it on several levels; the Lovecraft Horror nut in me loved the otherworldly feel of the atmosphere, the moefag in me loved Saya's innocent charm, the moralfag in me raged at 2/3 of the endings, the romancefag in me bawwed at the tragedy of the entire story, and the list goes on.

Thoughts on this small, shiny gem?

Hey /jp/, I just finished Saya no Uta. It was awesome, I loved it. But there is one thing that bothered me... were the sex scenes really necessary? I think the story would have been better without them.

>> No.8378095

Hey /jp/, I just finished Saya no Uta.
It was a very twisted story, and the Fuminori ending was really cool.
Now I don't know if I will be able to sleep tonight...

Yeah, OP. That VN was discussed several times already. I really liked it too, probably felt the same as you at the time, but it will be hard to find someone willing to discuss an old VN. I hope you're ok with the whole lot of copypasta our fellow /jp/er's posting.

>> No.8378102

sup /jp/, I usually stick to /tg/, but I just finished Saya's route for the first time...

It was so beautiful, I'm crying tears that aren't even remotely manly. Please tell me that the other routes are just as good, so that I have something to look forward to

wow, i didn't think this would get so many responses. I guess I wasn't the only one to feel this way.

I don't think it's hard for most of us to identify with the protagonists plight, and Saya is actually quite, umm, reserved and intelligent once you realize her true power. In reality, when you consider her true nature, she has a very kind and human (really transhuman) heart, that really makes the ending bittersweet. Heck, she is practically like a Messiah, when you consider the ensuing transformation of the world, through her love.

All in all, I feel it is really a triumphant love story where love conquers all, even against all odds.

W-What is this bizarre abomination of a thread? I have to report it immediately!

You should probably like kikougai too, same author, short.

So now that /a/ finished KS they're doing Saya no Uta?

Not sure how I should feel about this. Saya no Uta is better, at least, but...

"Sup /jp/, I just finished Saya no Uta" threads have been around for a good while.

If you like that, wait for forest translation then.
The what a beautiful series like inganock or shanorth should be to your liking, maybe. Swan Song, Sharin no kuni should be good too, all translated.
Kikougai is more action-y.

I haven't read very many VNs, but I found the horror moments in Higurashi are ridiculously frightening. You just have to patiently read through a few hours of corny upbeat slice-of-life to arrive to get to the horror moments, but that made the horror just that much more impacting I found.
