Can you blame them? Most Japanese games these days are shit.

The ones /jp/ plays are either eroge(not vidya) or incredibly niche gust/idea factory/fatlus/etc games. Not stuff that appeals to the average person, even in Japan.

Catherine was a good game. Shadows of the Damned too if you like Grasshopper games. A lot of fighting games also came out if you enjoy those. Ten Desires came out this year too, even if it doesn't seem to be as popular as past games. I don't really understand when anyone says any year is bad.
