Even if you give kids vegetables, doesnt mean they will eat it. I work part time as a custodian at an elementary school. They get a salad option and on average less than half of the salad is eaten. They never eat the canned fruit, 90% of that goes in the trash. Crazy, I used to clean my plate when I was going there.

I can't believe kids eat the food that tastes good instead of the bland nutritionally valuable food.

It's almost as if they're kids.

We went over this at /ck/. The tomato sauce on pizza is considered a serving of vegetables.

It's not really that. It's that it's canned shit, which isn't anywhere near as appetizing as fresh.

If they'd just go through the effort of giving them fresh oranges or something, they'd probably be happy to eat them.

You're pretty optimistic there, in my opinion.

Maybe. They'd probably be taught to only eat candy and burgers by their parents before they ever go to school. Hard to form good habits that way.

Oh well.

I'm 24 and spinach still makes me vomit when I eat it.

I'm a kid and I could really care less is the fruit was fresh. If it tastes good, I will eat it.

Grow up. Spinach is one of the best things nature has ever created.

I wouldn't go that far, but spinach is actually pretty good as part of a wide variety of dishes.

Don't like it on its own, though.

So I guess salt make you vomit? Sucks to be you, better see a doctor.

"Fruit" is a botanical term. "Vegetable" is a culinary term.

Tomatoes, peppers, and some other things are actually both.
