Let me make this clear, troll-san. I don't hate porn, but the difference between you and me is that you think kigurumi is purely a fetish (which is wrong) and this causes your arguments to lean that way, causing you to make wild assumptions. Also, "artist" isnt some high-and-mighty term. It just means people who do an art, which is many things. Acting is an art, drawing, sculpting, writing, singing, costume-making, filming etc. Kigurumi involves sculpture, sewing, wig-styling, painting, molding, costume-making, miming, filming, photography, of course it's a fucking "art" you dumbass. I never meant anything deeper than that.

Comparing kigurumi to fetish gear or even zentai is stupid. That's like saying anyone who owns an anime figurine masturbates to it. Just because you have a fetish doesn't mean you can assume everyone does. Just because you're ashamed of something doesn't mean everyone would be.

Well, a softer material simply wouldn't hold it's shape well. Regular rubber masks can afford to be soft because they sit close to the face. Kigurumi masks are large and would just end up with sunken faces or skulls, considering the weight of multiple wigs styled into heavy hairdos (a single wig does not fit a kig head). They are more like helmets than masks, most of the time, though some smaller ones exist. Also, even if the mask was fitting enough to be made of a soft material, you wouldn't be able to fit anything like animatronics inside, and small heads look awful because anime characters have smaller proportions.
