Does anyone else think that /jp/ should be made a NSFW board? Reasons for:

+ /jp/ deals mostly with Touhou fan art, visual novels, the majority of both are - you guessed it - adult in nature.
+ Most people in /jp/ do not have a job or attend school. Have you seen the number of NEET threads around here?
+ While /h/, /e/, /u/, and all the rest are fine boards, they're not really the right place for discussion about Touhou, visual novels, and all the rest. Adult comics being dumped on /e? Great. Anime character general imagedumps? Sure. But in-depth discussion mixed in with the lewd? /jp/ would be a much better place, considering that it already happens - to good results.

+ Other boards like /pol/, /r9k/, and /t/ allow for adult materials to be posted, even though there's not really a good reason for this as far as I can tell. On the other hand, /jp/ is a board which would GREATLY benefit from this rule change.

I'm thinking about emailing this to moot, any comments/suggestions/improvements? And I'd love it if you could do the same if you agree.

That doesn't really have anything to do with the board being SFW. NSFW is just a term we use to describe a subset of content.

For what reason do NSFW images need to be posted here? They aren't really needed for discussion. You don't actually have any real reasons as to why the board should be NSFW. It just sounds like you want people to post lewd touhou images for you.

That's the problem with boards like /h/, /e/, etc. Most the people there just care about exchanging pictures for fap material and it's considered the norm. If you don't post a bunch of pictures it is clearly a request thread for pictures. They wouldn't know a discussion if it bit them in ass.

And in what situation would you need to upload an uncensored NSFW eroge image for discussion? If you wanted to post a character image it's not like you would need to use an NSFW one. Or if there is some really deep awesome scene, that just so happens to be NSFW (I doubt such a thing would happen) could you not just censor it? Or even describe it?

You and I both know the real reason you want /jp/ to be NSFW, you either want to be able to post your touhou smut, or have other people post their touhou smut, without fear of retribution.

/jp/ is not "work safe" by any means, and if you really have to post a nice pair of tits, usually it doesn't make a difference unless you're being an insufferable cunt and people report you just to be a douche. There used to be a kind of unspoken rule of spoiler images, but that wont save your ass if they do ban you.

I'd rather not, mostly because I've grown used to this blue color scheme and would be annoyed if I had to use the red one which is uglier.

Also people post NSFW stuff on /jp/ all the time, and the only time they really get modded is when it is 3DPD NSFW stuff or otherwise unrelated to here.

If you email moot make sure to also tell him to raise the captcha expiration time back to what it was. Lowering it from 5 hours to 30 minutes does nothing to stop spammers (because they use them up so quickly) and is just an annoyance to those who use caching for legitimate purposes.
