Does anyone know of a Gelbooru for desktop that lets you tag images and mass change their filenames to the tags?

>> No.8249503

Why not install a local webserver like apache and run your own private *booru? Simple enough and it does the same thing.

Tokiko has been on /jp/ for around two months. He is 17 years old and his name is Coal, and he has type 1 diabetes. Since he has been here he tried to join the inner shitposting circle but managed to creep them out and make them all uncomfortable enough to get rid of him.

He then fell in love with another tripfag who goes by the handle Fukune on this board and spammed the board with bad poems, threats and begging 'her' to unblock him after 'she' blocked him on Steam.

Then he started spamming with a basic spambot and shitting up /jp/ even more.

He is Currybutt Jr

RAM intensive? and "simple" can mean different things for different people.

XAMPP is simple to an extent, but its still more than most want to deal with and manage.

Why would you trash Tokiko? Sure he seems a little sexually frustrated and so many of us would LOVE to help him out with that but overall Tokiko is pretty friendly.

I've never used Picassa, but maybe it might help?

There's also what's mentioned here: http://konachan.com/forum/show/7624
I think it had a local library function as well as being able to download from danbooru and co. don't know if the APIs have changed though, I didn't personally use it long before running off to do basically what >>8249503 mentioned.

Any of the ones you know of suggest related tags like the danbooru uploader?

>> No.8249746

I remember having looked for something like that in the past, OP, and I think this is what I found.

So yeah, about the same as what >>8249503 said.

>> No.8249754

>>8249746
Gelbooru is actually easier to set up, though it doesn't give XAMPP-specific instructions like imouto.booru. imouto.booru also doesn't have .gif support.

>> No.8249756

>>8249536
It can't use up THAT much RAM, can it? On Linux, Apache uses up hardly any. The Windows port's used by a lot of people so it might be a little worse, but it can't use up more than say 500MB of RAM. And I say simple because it's as easy as typing "localhost" into the address bar of web browser of choice. There's a lot of good documentation for Apache out there. I have no experience with Windows when it comes to webservers but if OP uses *NIX it won't be that hard for him and if he uses Windows it won't be more than maybe an hour or two to set up.

Some /jp/sie has a private image tagging software that he's been working on for a long time that looks pretty "user friendly" from his screenshots, but he's never posted the source or binaries or anything. It'd be nice for him to release it publicly one of these days... A lot of people would really benefit from it.

>>8249754
OP probably doesn't have THAT many gifs.

>> No.8249763

>>8249756
Likelyhood is OP uses windows. I personally run apache on windows myself. I still maintain that its simply not something most people care to get in to. I love the field my self so I used it along with fuuka to learn bits about how webserver-ing works.

It actually doesn't use that much RAM looking at it, only fuuka/perl is RAM-munching. You forget to mention that it also requires PHP and MySQL, but that's kind of obvious.

>> No.8249768

Actually, I'm looking around and iTag seems to be what I'm looking for best, but it's not freeware, sadly. Still searching.

Wouldn't be surprised if that was a privileged account only kind of thing. The test site of danbooru they have has a rating feature.

Is this the best software for a local booru, or are there better alternatives?

>> No.8249806

I found Picasa allows tag editing, but to prevent it from accidentally uploading your images to websites through all the buttons it has, you have to block it from internet access with your firewall.

>> No.8249812

>>8249796
define "best"

my.imouto.booru is a moe.imouto sort of clone. Its perhaps the easiest to set up, I know I've been able to set it up by its instructions. It doesn't have .gif support though.

gelbooru would probably be more...developed? I don't know. 0.1.11 is what I use and it hasn't given me any problems. It has .gif support, but might be easier to set up. I personally found Gelbooru easier to set up, but I don't know if it works with XAMPP or not.

>> No.8249815

>>8249812

I thought Gelbooru doesn't release it's later versions. I don't want to use old software.

>> No.8249828

>>8249815
0.1.11 is the open branch, while the site itself uses 0.2.5. Security concerns are the obvious reason the active branch isn't open.

Don't know what to tell you on that though. Just saying it works for me.

I believe Danbooru allows you to download more recent sources for it. but it requires quite a bit more than gelbooru and my.imouto which are both only PHP. It might be easier in Linux though

>> No.8249837

>>8249828

>0.1.11 is the open branch, while the site itself uses 0.2.5

Exactly that's a significant version jump; obviously they're jewing out on it because they want to seem "exclusive" when it's just a shitty ripoff site. That and considering how they show 10 second full page intermission ads now.... they don't even deserve a visit for me to download their crap.

Yeah I suppose imouto is the most logical option.

>> No.8249845

>>8249837
I can't see how intermission pages on the site itself have anything to do with an older version. At least they aren't asking you to pay $20 to not have to click the direct link on restricted images.

I'd personally like to use the 0.2.* branch myself, but we can't have everything. I just use it over imouto for the gif support.

>> No.8249852

>>8249845

I'm basically just calling Gelbooru as a whole shit that doesn't deserve our visits.

They have shitty full page ads, and don't release their recent code as if they're important or something.

Only works for .jpgs.
I've been looking for something so I could use *booru style tags on my images (30k+ unorganised images, I want to organise them though). After reading this thread, running a local *booru sounds like the best idea. Thanks /jp/!
