You have to dismantle it first. Also, water probably won't break it. You can probably wait it out, or try to dismantle it and dry it. Keyboards are meant to be resistant to spills.

That membrane is conducting, but no components. If you dry it properly it should be fine.

as long as you haven't been to rough it should be just fine. (rough = scratch it so bad it doesn't work)
You can soak the fucking keyboard in water and once dried it will work just fine.

Just avoid using bleach, it might sound like a good idea but it's not. Though, it only fucked up two useless keys.

Usually it should be dried in around 3 days. And avoid using heat to help it dry. You can use a fan however. and let it dry dismantled, obviously.
