Any progress on the /jp/ mansion project?
As for location, I suggest we build one on an island. We can live in luxurious rooms, have tea served by a transsexual psychopath, kidnap a fancy chef from some 5 star hotel who can cook for us. We should also get a butler, oh and someone should take their grandmother. Only one though, and she has to be senile.

I can't wait for tea and biscuits on the beach while listening to the seagulls' cry.

>> No.8191791

I've been thinking lately and I really would enjoy cooking as a career. If this project was ever realized I would like to be one of the chefs.

I'd really like a real butler though. Like, Genji-tier butler, but preferably Ronove-tier ofcourse. Slightly ambiguously gay, with a silly moustache, who can also bake cookies.

Week one, light socializing by the more adjusted, house in a state of renovation (tarps, unpainted walls where they were added, unfinished shelving units...) An atmosphere similar to a con group at a hotel.

Week two, group of about five people (out of the 36 present) get along well and can usually be found loitering in the common areas. An uneasy peace from the shut ins who came becuase lack of other option. House is cluttered in moving supplies and things that haven't been put away yet. Minimal progress done to remaining renovation by residents who quickly lost interest. Atmosphere similar to a dorm.

Two months in, after several incidents involving minor disagreements with some of the more socially unable residents the group most commonly seen in the halls takes a poll from the residents and works with the owner to implement a sort of rules enforcement group. This proto group consists of two members of the social group as managers, two larger anti socials who only agreed to join due to a shared interest in the peace and slight benefits of serving (extra lump of sugar in their tea, whatever), and one smaller shut in who got in on claims of intelligence and offering a few ideas that never really went anywhere.

The proto group is generally viewed positively or with indifference.
This has however sparked a small group who liked to pull little pranks to set them off. Mostly harmless, but drew the ire of some of the residents none the less. Garbage is taken out using a system that not everyone follows, but health standards are still far above what most of the residents are used to. Packing supplies still little storage areas due to uncertainty of residents on whether they'll be needed again. Food is becoming an issue with several residents preferring to cook for themselves in their rooms and not contributing towards communal dining funds or efforts. Complaints about uneaten food in bedrooms posing a health hazard are looked into, but little is done. Atmosphere is like apartment in the residential wings, and like a school in the common areas as more socially awkward people try to mingle here and there for group anime viewings or touhou "tournaments".

Four months in, complaints about the security team abusing it's power over small infractions (noise, petty theft, perceived slights...) a small faction springs up from the more socially reserved members in the residential wing, declaring themselves a check against the security team's (who now number at seven) power. The pranks by the "shitposters" as the residents have taken to call the small group of deliquents have stepped up in response to abuses of the security team, and are prosecuted not only by them, but also the group of "jp police" for lack of a better term.

This vigilante justice is not always in touch with the crime, and some worry that the "jp police" are actually the bigger threat becuase of it. Due to fights with the jp police and the security team, more garbage is left in the residential wing over claims of residents still needing these things. The security team takes one of the smaller reading rooms of the main wing as their HQ, no one objects. Atmosphere is generally stable, with most residents agreeing with one group or another, and enjoying a relative peace within their private rooms.

Five months in, a small incident causes erupts into something far larger when a member of the jp police is beaten by members of the security team in one of the halls near the residential wing. The security team claims they were acting in response to abuse and the the jp police officer lashed out when cornered. The story from the jp police was that the officer had forced a shitposter from the residential wing after they have broke into a residents room and smashed several figures. Rumors ran wild over the mansion's irc channel, and the most accepted story was that the figures smashed belonged to the officer in question, and the jp police were using the incident as cover for a power grab.
