Misuzu's route has been mostly "translated" for years now. Someone probably just decided to edit it to make it more readable and less blatantly machine-translated.

Regarding Air, I do not include projects or progress for trolling purposes, as I feel that undermines the validity of the list (although some of the things included do stretch the meaning of "translation"). Baldr Sky is still there because of the translator's history, and the occasional time when someone has gotten in touch with the translator he still considered it active, even if slow.

There have been numerous self-proclaimed "translators" who have popped up on gemot and the like over the last few years, claiming to be taking on Air. The point of a discussion is not for one side to keep saying "I don't give a fuck." If you don't give a fuck, stop the discussion. I doubt anyone cares whether you care. You are now only brandishing your hurt feelings instead of saying anything cogent. People are going to talk trash about anything on the internet because they're free to be dicks, and they might or might not want to have an actual talk ; you can not demand anything substantive if it's the latter.

It's funny because an anonymous board is supposed to solve this very problem whereby people care too much about their reputation to leave a discussion. So far they have only around 30% of Clannad translated and ready to insert, editing hasn't started yet. Nobody started translating Kanon yet.

>Even the best programmers in the community can't seem to do it
That is obviously because they're programmers, not analysts/reverse engineers. This is like the "I know you're studying computer science, want to fix my computer?" problem. The skillsets are similar but NOT the same. As I said earlier, if you request to have it queued now, it will not be looked at until 2012.

BUT given the "timely" nature of the title (to be sure; this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/December_When_There_Is_No_Angel)), I can allocate 24 hours of work for it this month. If we get text insertion (and extraction, which must come first) working, then maybe we'll release a PoC (see below). Otherwise it can stay another 12 months in the queue.

HOWEVER: Is/are the translator(s) doing anything with it currently, and how much has been translated if so? There is no point in working on technical issues if there is no text to insert. (We could release a PoC containing lipsum for all the lines, but that is not particularly useful.)

tl;dr: Is there text awaiting insertion? Proceed?

I'm talking about the other people who organize text insertion for VNs. I think Nagato (the guy who does Amaterasu's text insertion) tried it at some point, but although extraction and insertion are possible it seems the game is unplayable due to the bugs that occur when inserting text.

The translator has translated quite a lot of the game already, but the project is on hold as it's no use translating when the text can't be put in the game.

As for the translator contacting you, you must be aware of your negative reputation here. Most of the community thinks of you as nothing more than a troll, so there's a 99.9% chance he wouldn't even bother.
