I'm Googling the seller, apparently all their bootlegged Dakis are equal to legit daki quality so I'm hopeful about my custom, I'll post here whenever I get it. I'm not too worried about having mine, I purposely got a less-lewd image made to use on the daki so if anyone happens to find it it's not THAT bad.

Pretty unrelated, but does anyone know where I can get a proper futon? Or some sort of Western equivalent (but not a sleeping bag).

Has to be available in (or ship to) the UK.

I haven't gotten one from Hobby Heart before, but I have bought stand bootleg covers from various Chinese sellers. The print quality is actually pretty good (especially since I've never spent $20 USD pre-shipping for one.). My only complaint is they're all on that shiny silky polyester. It's smooth to the touch, but it's very cold to the touch until it warms with my own body heat.

But all in all, I've always been satisfied with my bootlegs. Granted, I've never had a genuine one, but this just a cute pillow for me sleep with (and sometimes drool on).

Hobby Heart/Japan mall is a decent quality product. There was one other HK seller that had decent quality products as well.

You have to keep in mind all the authentic Japanese cases are made in China as well, and these producers/print shops do other work on the side. There is a very high likelihood that some of the bootlegs come from the same source as the official products.

I've gotten two dakimakuras from them. The quality varies. My Reisen dakimakura was very soft when I first got it, and my Youmu dakimakura seemed to have a more...dense fabric. In terms of fading, neither of my dakimakuras have faded (I've had Reisen for at least a year now, Youmu for 3 weeks.)

I can't remember the vendor I bought my Scarlet sisters Dakimakura, but that was higher quality than both my Reisen and Youmu.
