Madoka is a deconstruction of mahou-shoujo genre, rethinking, development, something gorgeous and incredibly powerful. No one put so much drama before, no one developed characters like this before, no one sacrificed them like this before, no one even tried to make such a complex character like Homu with such an amazingly perfect background with citations from Faust, divine tragedy and atmosphere.

Don't forget about Shinbo's role, he's a director of Nanoha anime and he knows everything about this shit. That's why he and his fella Gen created such a brilliant Madoka Magica.
You don't need Nanoha anymore, it's like running Windows 95 instead of superior Win 7. Deal with it, nerds.

Half of season 2 was still Nanoha being moe, her and fate healing from being hurt for several episodes, and interrupted fights everywhere. They'll probably stop with the mask twins coming out of nowhere to stop the fights every episode and condense the fights into a few decisive ones.

Also they can pretty much cut that stupid final boss battle and end it quicker.

I don't know what they are going to do about that episode about Fate being in her past with Alicia though.

There was like no character development in Nanoha. I like Nanoha and Fate but they never move beyond the whole "I must get stronger and fight" thing. Plus by the time it got to StrikerS the cast bloated to 500 so there was no time to develop anyone.

Which makes sense because it is a shonen fighting series. And don't say it isn't; you know how there's even training and super saiyaning in the series.

H0mu as a character had more growth than the vast majority of the Nanoha cast, and she even had less episodes to work with.

Everyone died in the parallel universes. And that's all, no one saved them. They just died. Little girls died. Every single one except Homu.
That's alone enough to tell you about an unspeakable horrors and doomed magical girls in Madoka.

Bullshit x2. QB is incomparable to these pets. His motives and his philosophy and his neutral-evil nature (after all he knew about Madoka and her fate to destroy the Earth in the current time line) - everything is new, he starts like a typical mahou-shoujo-pet but then you can CLEARLY see that he's absolutely different.

The atmosphere in Madoka is similar to decadence and fatalism, it's not just random murders and violence.
