Why do you sage your posts if you're looking for a response, /jp/?

If the thread is so shitty, do you expect the person you want a response from to keep an active refreshing tab on it?

Only the newest newfag would talk about sage on /jp/.

>> No.8084159

I sage out of habit, not principle or function.

I do that. Gets awkward those occasions I post on other boards. People get upset about it. Very strange.

yes
not bumping a thread, especially when it's past the front page, keeps undesired people out of it
I expect people actually interested in discussing the topic at hand to have the thread watched or on autorefresh

>> No.8084195

It seems to me you're too used to lightning fast boards and probably only refresh the front page.

Reminds me when I checked /r9k/ to see how its current incarnation is doing. I was quite confused when I went to the next page and saw the same threads as just before. For a second I thought I'd accidentally refreshed or something.

>> No.8084463

Because I wouldn't want to cause inconveniences to the other anonymous by bumping the thread with my nonimportant post to the front page.

>> No.8085751

>>8084463
Stop with that bullshit argument. If your post is not important then you shouldn't have posted it in the first place.

But I like to shitpost!

I love you anon.

If a thread is popular enough, there's no need for me to bump it, as the people who are posting in there will probably see my replies when they read it.
I have to admit that I sometimes forget to turn the nokosage off on old threads I'm curious about, though.
