Okay, so in American culture there is a fairly decent sized phenomenon of people like yourselves that are obsessed with Japanese culture.

My question is this:

Is there a similar phenomenon in Japan wherein they obsess over American culture?

I wouldn't called it obsessing, but a hell of a lot of Japanese people watch American movies and play American games.

That's mostly just because we produce a lot of entertainment in America though.

It was a legitimate question. I'm actually curious about whether or not there is an equivalent phenomenon there to here, as I've never seen or heard anything about it.

Why are you guys getting so feelings hurt and buttmad about it?

Yes Hideo Kojima is one of them, and is obsessed with western culture. He also collects american action figures.

Now would be an ideal time to post that picture about a Japanese guy who likes Spongebob and can't wait to go to America where he will be revered for his tastes.

Everything this otaku culture is based on western culture. Only credits that japanese can fully take for themselves is all that ancient shit.

Are you >imupuraiying they took all of their game design ideas from the west? If so I'd be quite willing to laugh at you.

>>8043281
No, they took the ideas from west and painted it with their ancient shit. Which is different to both sides and so good.

Laughter is for fools

American culture and entertainment is exported to everywhere around the world so yes.

In a sense, all of the rest of the world have an obsession over hollywood and MTV, or at least a portion of similar-minded (wo)manbabies who like anime in america.
