Sorry for slowpoke, but what did the type-moon followers on /jp/ think of this booklet?

I only got my copy this week when I picked up BF3, and the clerk said "ohh we were supposed to give this to you last time you were in, but didn't know what this was at the time".

Fate/Stay Night is a babby's first VN of the worst kind. It's a bad story, a clusterfuck of setting and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive powerlevels faggotry and COOKING. The NEET anon can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the series itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad.

However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of its core make it a breeding ground for anime-only kids who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The Servants all trying their hardest to look cool, the different kinds of Magecraft, the peculiar, colorful costumes, the whole "Holy Grail" faggotry and everything about the FSN world fuels their escapist fantasies, while the angst-ridden character backgrounds, emphasis on heroism, and the overall preachiness of the whole story makes it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average preteen and his sense of unwarranted self-importance towards the world. Exactly the kind of shit that makes normals and underage retards obsessed with cartoons eat this shit right the fuck up.

Fate/Stay Night is basically THE series to attract the most hated kinds of (self-proclaimed) otaku known to /jp/, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every anon to troll the fuck out of this franchise and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no FSN threads ever encourage the Type-Moon fags to show their faces here.

I am honestly alot more interested in this booklet than the other stuff in the regular limited edition package combined.

I really sucks that GameStop messed things up. Some speculate that the booklet very well might have been intended to be part of the regular limited edition, only that gamestop extorted this deal with the threat of not stocking up much on the game otherwise.

And it's awful, because GameStop can't ship overseas.
I could gladly have payed alot for the game. But this is just awful, and I don't want more Saber gadgets, so there isn't too much of a reason to pay overprice for the regular limited edition as it is now.
Seriously, can't get the game. Shipment sucks.

It would basically have been cheaper to import the AH3 Fan-Edition from Zen-United and ship it from their personal store to the US, than to ship a PSP game from GameStop to the Europe.

Where do you live? No matter the case, I doubt that's including taxes and tarrifs, which tend to be applied in percentages.
And these are all costs ontop of the actual price of the limited edition.

As for me, the costs of actually getting the game delivered ended up being almost twice the price of the original game, which is already expensive for a PSP game, given it is the limited edition. And that cost then, is of course, not including the game's actual price.
So, it really ends up becoming incredibly expensive somehow, and for a PSP game at that.

I remember how I preordered and imported F/UC with the figma and all, and that it were to be cheaper... is just somewhat dumb if you ask me.

I would call Persona's combat decent but nothing too special, and it's sort of what I'd accept as the minimum standard for good JRPG gameplay at this point. Fate/Extra's RPS mechanics make the game frustrating and arbitrary. While the nature of investigating the master battles makes them much more interesting and exciting, the dungeon grinding is random, unfun, and an incorrect guess can mean the loss of huge chunks of playtime. Random deaths would be more forgivable if the game was any fun at all, but either you know the monster's pattern and kill him instantly every time, or you guess and win or lose by accident.

Very much so.

You get a slightly different story based on three different servants, two different masters and another character out of two that you choose near the middle of the game. These interact with each other, it would make for 12 playthroughs in total if you want to see every piece of conversation.

Not really. The plot is pretty bad, and it's not really worth suffering through the terrible game play after the 3rd round or so where trash mobs can gank you easily if you have bad luck.

Plenty of small companies bringing over japanese games can make do even with very niche sales, because the costs involved in translating and editing a game are so much smaller compared to actually making one. CCC is a semi-sequel. From what information I've read it's like what would happen if the F/E scenario got entirely screwed up, it's quoted as a "failed grail war". Saber Bride, Dark Sakura and the loli devil Servant are the only servants that have been shown so far.

>> No.8046033

>>8045804

> it's quoted as a "failed grail war"

That particular description of CCC always makes me think that they're going to make the ENTIRE game of F/E CCC based around Sakura's route without any of the others being accessable, rather than just cramming it into the F/E... But then I realize thats just too much damn work and is highly unlikely due to how many Servants that'd have to be made up.

Also,it sure sounds a like the 3rd Grail War.
