What is keeping you alive, /jp/?

I do not want to kill myself until I finish writing a novel or two.

I've never been that interested in actively killing myself, although I have thought that it would be the most efficient thing to do for a long time. I would describe myself more as uninterested in living. The only time I felt a strong impulse to do harm to myself was a few years ago in spring, while washing a big knife. It was quite the powerful urge, and I couldn't put the knife down so I just stood and stared at it. Suddenly it started snowing. Snow is one of the many small things I love about the world, and it was not normal for that season. That was enough for me to dry the knife and put it away.
