I disagree. I tried taking Japanese at my uni and it was full of weeaboos. I dropped out and later went back to the local community college to learn Japanese and the class was just full of general freaks. No one ever talked except when necessary and seemed like they were bitter assholes that hated life. Possible /jp/ers. All, the class was better because there wasn't 500 people in it.

That's all just anecdotal though.
